The experience was good. The survey had too many questions. Make the survey short and sweet.

Andres V. and Chris were both so professional and very courteous with how they handled everything. Very prompt and knowledgeable of any questions I had during the PODs moving experience. Thank you again very much!

Pods is a great company & an excellent and easy experience to store & move things. Definitely recommend- especially when selling a house - to eliminate & store things for staging.

Don't do it

I hope my experience isn't their typical business practice. PODS ships to many locations, others can cost you up to 10 times or more for delivery. With no collaboration, between them and the moving companies they suggest. You will have to juggle and negotiate everything on your own.

Wish I could give zero stars. Terrible experience. Advertised you will get your stuff in a time frame they are completely incapable of accommodating. Spoke to numerous PODS associates regarding this issue as I have 2 young children (6 years old and 15 months old) because no one told me it would take nearly 2 weeks to get my belongings. Try caring for two children without any of your things. I ended up having to purchase additional items like a crib and bed and dishes etc to cover the minimal for my children. When I called, I asked to speak to a manager and she reassured me she would see to it herself that my stuff receive a request for expedited delivery and give it emergency status. When I called to follow up a couple days after, the associate said that she submitted the incorrect documentation and that “I should just stay positive because I might open my eyes tomorrow and it could be there.”
… like, what? What kind of customer service is that. I paid $6,500 to not get my stuff for nearly two weeks and then was told to stay positive after their associates mishandled my case and delivered false promises. Do not use PODS for moving. Get a U-Haul and either do it yourself or hire people, but you will spend less than $6,500 I am sure.

PODS is one of the worst companies I have ever had the misfortune of working with. I would never use them again - use U-Pack or U-Haul instead. Their customer service was absolutely awful.
First issue - I scheduled same day delivery and pickup. Rep told me I was good for that. I call to confirm the day before and they have no record of it AND they are going to charge me $200 - which the guy making the sale of course never mentioned. They will lie to make a sale.
Second issue - The POD same day pickup guy arrived and told me I had 2 HOURS to fill the POD?!? That’s literally not possible. When I called initially they said I could call any time that day once it was ready. Driver nearly threatened me and said he was taking it whether it was full or not. We had to get last minute movers and it cost a lot of money.
Third and worst issue. i had called and asked for a specific delivery date during the initial sale. They said no problem it’ll be there. I call on Monday and they say the POD is not en route because I had to call back and confirm the delivery. There was ZERO communication of this. Even if the POD had been on time, there’s no way it would have gotten there within the promised timeline - since they told us it would take at least 9 days from the day released and the initial promise was 6.
We ended up getting our stuff a week late which sucked. But reading the rest of the reviews I guess I was lucky they even delivered it.
When we asked for compensation it took 2 weeks and we got nothing.
Please never use PODS - whatever minimal savings you get is NOT worth it.

PODs is an easy company to work with and understands all aspects of moving and storage. The price and convenience are fabulous. Would definitely use it again should I need it.

Our move fell through, so the pod was never loaded. It took forever to have it picked up, and I was charged double what I was originally quoted for pickup. When I questioned the change to my quoted amount, I was told that fees are subject to change if you change your plans. I do not recommend PODS unless your plans are solid. Personally, I won’t use them again.
In response to the owner, I did not try to reschedule at the last minute. I accepted delivery as planned. Did not move. Instead of moving the pod, I requested pickup from the original drop off location. For this, my pickup fee virtually doubled. Thankfully, I wasn’t moving and counting on that pod being delivered with haste because the earliest date they could give me was 10 days later!

Beware of the charges and the fine print. When they sale you on the pods they will tell you that you have a month of storage at your destination. This is not accurate, the month starts the day they drop the pod off. So plan accordingly, we had our pod delivered on may 24 and picked up on the 29th to take from CA to IL. Which took about 9 days this is where the fine print comes in. These days count as storage when you don’t have access to any of your stuff and you are paying separately for the transport part this would be considered double dipping in a lot of situations. Make sure to calculate your pickup or drop off we had ours dropped off on the 27 of June, thinking we were still within our month of storage that was incorrect 439 dollars plus the insurance which come out to 488 total, for three days past the 24th. When you call to see if there was a mistake They’ll refer you to the fine print. I don’t think it is a coincidence that the agent knew exactly the section and paragraph to refer me back too, they probably go through this every day. Even when the invoice wording clearly states that the “monthly rental for container at the storage center” there is no option to prorate, this should tell the consumer that this practice is intended. I am sure they are aware that this is a common occurrence. Just beware if you choose to do business with a company like this.

Pods as a company is great. Their customer service is nice from the few people that I have interacted with personally, they are seemingly very knowledgeable about how much can fit into their pods. I highly recommend just listening to them because I made the mistake of assuming that I could fit all of my items into one pod, even though I was recommend to do two and I ended up ordering a second. However, I suggest really doing research when looking at movers to help move your items into a pod. I have had two separate bad experiences with movers that were recommended by pod which leads me to believe that they don’t believe that these movers or there’s a miscommunication because it was awful. But the drivers are really communicative. They let you know well in advance when they’re gonna be there and if something comes up, that might cause a delay customer service is pretty quick and easy to help with assisting with any problems that you might have. Just make sure you Vet your movers before you hire someone because it can turn a good experience into a bad one and in my case, I had to separate the movers from pod because it really made this move a total nightmare.

Second time using PODS Gave them one star if I could give them 0 stars I would! Horrible customer service skills. Supposed to credit me a monthly fee since THEY couldn't pick up the container the next day as agreed by 2 different agents. After not receiving my credit I spoke to a "Supervisor" which told me I was not entitled to a credit. So much for customer loyalty!
