DO NOT BUY A CAR HERE!!! EVER!
Had to replace my daughter’s car due to accident- thought, yes thought I was paying good money for a quality used car. Well- 40 days after purchase- have major failure and Napleton Mazda Libertyville IL used car department offers zero- nothing to help situation. “Nothing we can do” seems to be standard customer service at Napleton Auto Group.
Used car manager was useless and rude. Typical Chicaga shister.
Customer service is a dead art- and these guys lead the way.

Fraudulent Practices with Extended Warranties!
Put it this way the finance manager that closed my transaction when I bought my car was fired.
Allow me to elaborate on my experience with this dealership, in the event that you want to give them business, first be aware of their tactics. During the rather simple negotiation I agreed to buy a pre owned vehicle, without an extended warranty, That was what I agreed to.
When I sat down with the Finance Manager to close out this deal he went on to tell me that I would not qualify for financing if I didn’t have the warranty, that the bank would not give out the loan if the warranty was not taken out.
Realize that an extended warranty is never a criteria for getting a loan approved, a car warranty is an option, it’s an add on, but it’s never a contingency for a car loan approval. You must read this sentence several times, and also do your own research to confirm this claim that I’m making, but you’ll soon realize that I’m correct.
The Finance Mangers, and Sales reps get a cut out of that warranty thus increasing their commissions. This is fine and I don’t have a problem with that, but lying to the public is not the way to go about it. The Finance Manager was fired for these type of practices.
I then followed up with multiple emails to this Manager, about canceling the warranty, he never responded. He also failed to give me any paper work for this so called warranty, It took weeks, but I eventually had to show up to this dealership, request to a cancellation.
The tactics they may use on you:
They may tell you that you need an extended warranty to quality for a loan. You’re going to respond with these two sentences.
1. Can you show me in writing, where this loan is contingent on an extended warranty? At this point give them your pen and have them circle the verbiage.
2. Can you call the bank now and have them tell me over the phone the my loan will only get approved with an extended car warranty. And ask the agent why.
Be aware of these tactics.
There are plenty of professional dealerships out there, I’d recommend look elsewhere.

Tom works in the Service Department of Libertyville Mazda and has been a huge help to me. Something happened to my car and has stayed in consistent contact on getting it fixed and helping the situation be resolved as easy as possible. I have been to multiple other dealerships in the area... this Mazda Dealership is one of the best. Would buy a car from here 10 times out of 10 over again.
