Been visiting this shop for a long time, and the manager is super knowledgeable, really fun to talk to and get into different aspects of the Warhammer hobby. Great events that are posting on their Facebook page with weekly and monthly updates. Highly recommend.

Drove over 30 min just to see a sign on the door that they are closed today wed oct 4th. Inconsistent hours and very annoying.

I used to be a huge hater on Warhammer. I thought that it was the biggest waste of money. I mean come on, $60 for a single piece of plastic?!Then my best friend got into Warhammer while I was living out of state. He swore that if I ever moved back to town, that he’d get me into Warhammer. I balked at him, but here we are. I moved back to IL, and sure enough, he got me.After watching my first game of 40k, he asked me if I could take him to the Warhammer store to pick up some stuff he had ordered. Walking in, Chris (the owner) immediately made me feel welcomed as a new player. He hooked me up with the Battle Honours book, my free Intercessor, and told me a bit about the hobby and showed me around.I’ve been back a handful of times with my buddy for him to pick up orders and to play a couple of 500 point games with him, and each time, Chris has welcomed me in like I’ve been coming to the store for years. The place is always incredibly tidy, and the people are super welcoming. People seem to come by to hang out just for fun, even if they’re not working on a mini or playing a game. It reminds me of my favorite store in Gurnee Mills from many years ago, Cyber Arena, and it brings back great memories.Now, tomorrow, I’ll be heading to the store to make my first official purchase of Warhammer 40k models. The 10th Edition Launch box, Leviathan, opens up for pre-orders tomorrow, and it looks *awesome*. I’m super excited to get my hands on the minis to start building, painting, and most importantly, playing some 10th edition games. As a newbie to the hobby, I only barely started learning about how to play the game with 9th, and thankfully it looks like 10th Edition will make the game much more approachable for us newbies to the hobby.I chuckle at the past me, who hated so hard on a hobby that I’m about to dive into head first. Never say never, friends.

This store was our first exposure to warhammer a few years back and it set a stellar standard. We've had to move away since then but this store set the golden standard we judge every other games workshop / warhammer store we've been to since. Spoiler, this one is still the absolute best. Miss you Chris, you spoiled us rotten.

While I was on my lunch break today. I was able to stop by and grab a long awaited order! While there I also showed the wonderful store manager Chris my Lancer Gladiator I’ve been working on (still a work in progress. I’ve gotta out some stuff on using the transfer sheets)!If anyone is interested in anything and everything Warhammer I highly recommend heading to the Red Top Plaza location and saying “Hi!” to Chris. He’ll make you feel incredibly welcomed and will help you find exactly what you’re looking for.I’ve been visiting the store every few day or so, for about a month now. Every time Chris makes me feel right at home! Cant wait until payday so I can get some more stuff! As always if I could give them 6 stars or an 11/10 I would!

I’m new to 40k and Chris has been extremely helpful!! I started painting last week and went in 4 days in a row and Chris helped me so much!!! The store is exceptionally well kept and stocked. Everybody is very friendly. I can’t wait to finish my army and start playing here!!
