We went to Lambs Farm with our grandchildren. We had so much fun feeding hay to the goats, sheep, horses, cows and llama. The animals are so tame and very well cared for. The girls had a great time. We also played mini golf. The mini golf course needs a little sprucing up but still fun. Great time had by all. We did not go to the thrift shop as this heading states, just the Farm area.

My 4 year old granddaughter loved feeding the animals, the carousel and the train ride. The mini-golf is need of much repair. Perhaps the Baxter volunteers who were there painting fences and cleaning the shrubs could tackle mini-golf next.

Years ago, I used to bring my two sons to Lamb's Farm. They loved feeding the goats. sheeps and horses. Now they are adults; the oldest now married with children of his own.

Out of all the children’s zoos/petting zoos I have ever been, this one is by far the best! You can tell how much their staff love their animals by just listening to them talk about them! Their Animal Keepers not only love their animals but are so knowledgeable too. I have gone many times and always walked away having learned or experienced something new. The animals are all active and friendly and truly seem to enjoy greeting people. They let you buy hay in a bag for a dollar and feed the animals, it is a healthy alternative to petting zoos that over feed their animals grain. You can tell everything they do at the Farmyard is for the best of the animals in their care and the majority of their animals are rescued or have special needs. The organization itself is a nonprofit benefiting adults with developmental disabilities, so it is a true gem in our community and one everyone should come out and support! They also have a Café, Thrift Shop, Pet Center, and Country Store so there are many ways to support if animals aren’t your thing!

Used to be one of my favorite places to shop, hands down. Although it's a bit cramped in there and not wheelchair accessible near the clothing, they always have great stuff out. I'm done with the attitude problem though. The girl with the NIU Huskies red hoodie, with dark hair is very rude and I did not feel welcome there. Upon entering, she just looks up along with the other two women. No acknowledgement. However, I did see them interacting with AND greeting other customers who are white. When I was shopping, the dark haired girl came by me and just looked then walked away.... kind of strange as she didn't walk up to the other shoppers in the next aisle. When I checked out, the blonde lady at the register shunned me. Rings me up without saying a word. Then dark haired girl comes up and finishes up the transaction and hands me my change without a word. I said thanks and she didn't respond. Blonde lady sets my bag to the side while they keep chatting, no bye, thanks, nothing. Like I'm invisible. This lousy service isn't the first time I've felt watched or ignored by not being greeted or thanked, while they will acknowledge others. Well, there comes an end to everything eventually. I'm reporting this above them, seeing as I've heard from others in person as well as read other's reviews and see nothing has changed. Just means the disrespect is allowed to continue because they just get away with it. What was once a wonderful place to visit and support is just a racist "thrift shop" that might provide service if you're not an ethnic minority.
