The IVAR is a real well managed pet adoption, rehabilitation, and rescue place / agency / facility/ service for cats & dogs. IVAR gives great care & comfort to the animals there. The staff & volunteers show good care
& compassionate care as well .

There's not much more to say than Chris and Sue are true rock stars! And let's not forget all the volunteers and charitable people. I've rescued 2 dogs from them, and I could not be happier! They are very accommodating. If you are looking for a special needs pet, or have your own special needs, I'd put money on the fact that they can help you with whatever you need!

Do not bring your cat here. This place will lie. If you think about bringing your cat here just don't. If you have second thoughts DO NOT TAKE YOUR KITTY HERE. They will not give the cat back. Lost a damn good cat to this. I will make it known

Illinois Valley Animal Rescue AKA IVARTried to post my cat Tarzan on Facebook for adoption after the owner Susan told me ON THE PHONE that she wouldn’t give him up for adoption and would keep him until I got my own place and once I called them out for it on their page, they deleted it. GUILTY!

IVAR is amazing!! Very kind staff, quick to assist and happy little furr babies all around! Great place to adopt! Or even just to look for a possibility of adoption! I especially love Sue in the cat department, such a sweet and kind woman. ♡
