“Very good work and priced very honestly. My left front signal burnt out and I bought the bulb for it but despite watching some Youtube videos, I didn't feel comfortable trying to install it myself and asked my co-workers who they go to and I was referred here. They were very nice on the phone when I called to ask to make an appt and they were very accurate in their time frame estimate for completion (not a huge concern of mine but it was nice that it didn't take a long time to do). When picking up, I did expect to pay a bit more for the labor and it only ended up costing me $16 instead of the min estimate I had in mind of at least $50.00. I appreciate the work that was done, the courteousness I was shown and the honest pricing for the work done. I will definitely come back should any other issues with my car occur.”

“The staff is incredibly knowledgeable and down to earth. Can't can't afford all the repairs at one time? They'll give you a report of their inspection and prioritize which repairs or replacements need to occur, based on your budget. They'll be frank about repairs that may not have to be done immediately, and recommend when indeed your vehicle should return.I started out as a customer of the Gages Lake shop, at the time residing down the street from The Gages Lake road garage. As I have since moved further north, I now visit their Lake Villa shop; once again, thankfully being a short walk away.That said, even if I were 50 mi away I would still prefer to bring my vehicles here... They're trustworthy, competent, and practical. Heck, at both shops there have been occasions when they found less expensive ways to fix an issue and subsequently charged me LESS than their original quote... Passing on the savings to me.”

After working in the industry myself for over a decade (diag/repair tech and shop manager) before retiring from it last year, it’s hard to find a shop that you can trust to do the work properly and honestly. “Great honest mechanic! Very affordable, my car is always ready faster than I expect, and they never try to upsell me things I don’t need. A couple years ago they replaced my cracked drive shaft and worked directly with my insurance adjuster so all I had to do was drop my car off, pay the bill, and wait for Progressive to reimburse me for everything minus the deductible. I’ve been a fan of John’s ever since!”
“I just left Auto Tech Crystal Lake 15 minutes ago but had to stop my day to review the amazing team and service here! They handled my tire repairs as effectively and timely as possible in spite of their busy day! They had the most amazing gentlemen, with great understanding and attitudes, behind the front desk navigating the customers! “As a business owner I know how important customer service is and Rick takes customer service to a whole other level. The whole process from start to finish was beyond what I expected. I brought him my 911 turbo and needed ALOT fixed, the engine had to come out along with a dozen other items. He went above and beyond what i ever expected and I heavily researched extensively the best shop in the area to bring my car to and fischer motors had the best reviews so I made the choice to bring my car there and they exceeded my expectations by a mile.I can go on and on about how good they are but I will keep it short and sweet.... fischer motors has the best customer service I've ever experienced and they treated my car like it was their own.I HIGHLY recommend this shop to anyone looking for a shop to service their vehicle. Once we got in, they went to work and replaced all four tires within 25 minutes and did a fantastic job. Daniel is a good man and communicates well. “Had a really pleasant experience with Zach when I took my Tesla Model Y for a flat repair. Zach very professional explained to me the repair policy as the nail was close to the edge, yet he promised to make his best effort to save the tire. I was impressed by his commitment as he was genuinely willing to help vs just suggesting to buy a new tire (as few other tire places told me). They repaired the tire and saved me a big hastle as there was still lot of threads left and I didn't had to buy another tire on the same axel to avoid any alignment issues. I will highly recommend them for tire and oil change services.”
