I was in your Lake Zurich store today around noon. The male person working there today was disrespectful, rude and not helpful. The other lady clerk couldn't believe how he talked to me. I will never go in this store again. I have always used Benjamim paint.8/30/22

I've been painting for 30 years in the Northwest suburbs and have never met a paint retailer w as much knowledge as Jay. He is indispensable for my business. I rely on him to keep me up to date on all the changes continually occurring w all the products (specifically chemistry and usage issues). Whenever I am confronted by a unique paint project scenario I always consult Jay as to the proper methodology and products to use to complete the job successfully. He has both saved me from making grave mistakes and enabled me to constantly produce excellent work for my discriminating customers who own beautiful and expensive homes. It took me a long time to find a guy w the expertise Jay has and I do not take it for granted. Sometimes I almost feel like he should be on the payroll for all the great advice he has given me and all the cautionary tales he has shared w me. It's taken me years to appreciate how difficult and fraught w problems painting homes can be. But thankfully I have Jay in my corner keeping me out of harm's way and helping me do what's right in all situations. So far so good. I'd probably quit painting if it wasn't for his trusted knowledge. There is way too much incorrect info on the Web and way too many supposed experts dispensing awful advice just to sell product. Jay tells me the truth and that is pure gold.

Jay Adams is a rare breed among retailers.....he actually cares about his clients! He combines both professionalism AND integrity...another rarity. He was absolutely terrific to work with as he was informative, responsive and very knowledgeable about his products and services. We ordered window blinds and drapes from him and he kept us informed about our orders on a regular basis. We are extremely happy with our blinds and drapes. The fit and finish were perfect. You won't find a better store in THE area! You won't find a better person to work with in ANY area! THANKS JAY!!!

I usually get my BM paint at ACE. I was in the area so decided to stop in. I went to grab the can of paint I needed to get mixed and Ed yelled from behind the counter. "HEY HEY, Wait a minute there. Put that back. I need to get it. I need to avoid dropped cans."Um... What? He proceeded to be rude and condescending and I can only assume because I was a female, he assumed I must be weak and uninformed. I will NEVER go there again. Plus, they were more expensive.

I've done three rooms now with Jay over the years and each room still looks as good as new. Jay takes time with me and provides everything I need from extremely effective border remover to brushes and rollers.

I needed to touch up some spots on a wall that had been painted quite a while ago. I was sure I was going to have to repaint the whole thing, but they were actually able to match the color based a pic and a tiny flake of paint---turned a full day project into about 20 minutes of work. Thanks!
