Local ownership of a smaller hardware store that can provide items the big box hardware stores don't have. The prices are sometimes competitive, but often slightly more for those found elsewhere. I enjoy having a choice over the big three.

Staff friendly and helpful. I operate a building downtown and this is my first choice when I need maintenance items. They don't carry Stihl but for most folks it doesn't matter.

Had a great experience at this store. Needed special corners for old window screens. Greg the screen specialist in the back knew he could find them. Went out of his way through old stock to get me what I needed. Thank you for wonderful service!

Very helpful team members. He went out of his way to help load the soil bags and they had run out of few I had ordered and helped me grab a few from their own bags and even packed them for me.Exceptional service!!

Placed an online order for an ego generator. A major storm had hit our area and I was in desperate need of this product. When I arrived at Ace the staff was very friendly and even managed to complete my order with their own systems being down due to the storm. They were super friendly to my daughter and made us feel very welcomed. After a night of no power or heat, such a warm welcome and prompt service was exactly what we needed. They put a smile on my daughter and my face and I truly appreciate that. Thanks for the amazing customer service!

Very big selection for an independent store. Plenty of parking and knowledgeable staff. Why bother to go to the home depot's and the Menard's when you can zip in and out with exactly what you need .

Ive really tried to support this Ace because I like to try and shop locally when I can. Even if it costs a bit more which Ace usually always does.I've tried stopping here for something I could get at HD and more often than not they don't have it.Ace in Wauconda doesn't seem to have this same problem for some reason.
