Hertel's Gold & Coin Shop is a great place to do business with. On my first visit, they assisted me with validating a 1798 silver dollar and did so with smiles and no pressure. On subsequent visits they were more than fair with my trade-ins and assisted me with new purchases. They are by far my best experience with coin dealers to date.

An item they were selling on eBay caught my interest the first time I purchased from them. Then I found the eBay-Live auctions they run. Oh boy!! The Fast-Paced Auctions with host Moon are GREAT!! I have been dealing with Hertel's Coins for 2 years now after becoming familiar with them online through eBay when I purchased some coins from them. I was very happy with the transaction so I searched for their coin shop name online and came across their website.
Like most coin collectors my interests changed and I decided to focus from collecting modern coins & silver bullion to the older stuff known as "vintage" silver. I'm on a fixed income so I decided to sell some of my coin and silver collection and didn't know how to go about it.
I remembered Hertel's website mentioned they buy coins so I reached out to them and arranged for an appraisal and to ship them a box of coins. I was really happy with the quoted price and I was paid very quickly after they received the box. If my interests in coin collecting changes again, I'll definitely be shipping my coin collection across country once again! I would highly recommend Hertel's Coins whether you're looking to buy or sell coins or silver.

My dad and I have been working with Brandy & Shaun for years now. We buy and sell silver and gold here, it's the only coin shop we work with in the area. Good buy prices and quite a selection of bullion when we are adding to the stack and not selling. I love their website and their auctions they run on Ebay Live! Always a good time!

I have sold coins and bullion here on several occasions. Each time they have been very fair with me. On my bullion bars and coins, they'll pay top spot. Collector coins is what the market allows, and with some coins you'll make a buck or two, and some you maybe not. They are up front with what they can pay and will do the research if it is a low mintage hard to find coinage. They put the work in to give you the best possible price. They are honest and a value our community.

Friendly family staff. But what the owner offered me for my two US Mint OGP complete items was atrocious. I was able to sell them on eBay. Even after eBay fees I was able to make $70 more than the first item, and another $70 more than the second item. The first item he offered me $40 less what the Mint charged, and then offered same price I paid from the Mint for the 2nd item.

Brought some old coins here for a second opinion. So glad that I did because the other place I went to was giving me scrap price. The Hertels shared with me that these were worth a lot more & they would be re-selling to a collector, not melted/scrapped. Thanks my family is thankful!!
