Sunset has everything, everything. Killer egg salad in the deli. From a free cup of coffee to fancy hand cream. This place is awesome - wine & beer shop attached.

Lovely local grocery store. Not as big as Mariano's or Heinen's nearby, but it is very clean and convenient and the service is outstanding. Store is always clean, everything is well-stocked, and the produce is top notch. There is never a line at the registers - the manager is always hovering and if he sees someone waiting in line he will open a register and check you out himself. Oh, and don't miss the Do-Rite Donuts they stock in the bakery fresh every morning!

Haven't shopped this store in awhile. Now unlikely to go back ever. Their customer service has noticeably declined. Two of the two open self checkout lines incorrectly detected extra items in the bag, and the attendant was slow to respond and in a foul mood!!

Appears clean every time we visit. Some items seem a little pricey, but otherwise it's a nice store.Full Deli available with pre-made foods and warm items as well.

My go-to grocery store for when I want the best produce, meat, fish, fresh bread, imported cheeses, etc. And who doesn't want that?Nobody compares, or even comes close - outstanding customer service, like no other. Shout out to managers Pete and Bill for running a stellar operation. You deserve awards!!

When I go there the staff Roberto is unhelpful. Go to sunset in libertyville. Better service there.

Decent place. Clean, decent selection, good produce, nice deli. However, you have to wait in line to have your produce weighed, before going to the register, which can often take more time than I prefer. Also, there are attendants in the queues that unload your cart for you, for some reason, which gets under my skin. *meh* It's how they do things. Comparitively expensive, as well.

Very clean store and organized. Love the complimentary coffee, deli, bakery, and so many other options in the grab and go departments. I had to do some tastings here and the staff was extremely helpful and welcoming. I enjoyed working here. They bake and cook many things in store, it’s amazing!

Sunset, Lake Forest -Opens the doors at 7am cannot get service in the Fish department until after 8am- I was chastised for requesting manager assistance. The owner John Cortesi finds this acceptable customer service. I shop for the elderly and needed to be at work by 8am. English is not the primary language for most employees at Sunset Lake Forest. John Cortesi struts the aisle like a Roman Emperor- and pays employees minimum wage- no benefits by employing part timIe help. All departments have taken a hit and are outsourced. The bakery is full of another baker's goods. The prices are 4 x the amount of similar stores- Heinans, and Whole Foods right down the block. A can of mushroom soup is 2.50 cents, at Lake Forset Sunset. I came for the customer srvice-" John Cortesi" proved that is no longer a priority. The store is grossly understaffed, long wait lines, no service behind the counters- The floor employees are not educated/ trained- under payed decide when and if they are going to work. The working conditions are long hours without assistance because John Cortesi does not want to pay a fair wage. The quality of the food especially the fish can be purchased right down the street at Heinans- keep driving, let the Empire fall.

The charm of this grocery store matches the charm of the town it resides in. Love, love, love. You'll pay $35 for shrimp cocktail, but would you expect anything different in Lake Forest? If so, you're lost. Go home.
