Today, I found myself in a bit of a fashion emergency: a yacht party invite with nothing suitable to wear. Luckily, this men's clothing store came to the rescue. The staff were incredibly friendly, offering helpful advice without making me feel like a fashion disaster. They patiently guided me through their collection, helping me find the perfect ensemble for the occasion. I left feeling confident and ready to set sail. If you're in need of stylish assistance and a warm welcome, this store is the place to go.

This store and staff is absolutely awful. KIP (the owner) is an arrogant, mean man who doesn't care about anyone but himself. I think his boyfriend/partner was there, and he was just as awful. I feel bad for anyone who has high hopes going to this place. Do not go to this place, save yourself the time. I truly hope these owners find peace and change their outlook on the world. It truly saddens me that people like this not only own a store, but exist in this world. YUCK

Poignant story and timing! After much renovation the new store opened up on the hill of Covid 19 after I had to close myself Surface Studio in Evanston across Metra Station on Green Bay. My old Wix account and Google are still showing. I built the place to compete with the Mart downton themselves saddled by Covid. I looked at Smith lovely old pictures all testimony of a bygone era of shopping -and dressing somewhat. I wish them well but I would not want to be in retail today.

Friends bought me a gift on Dec. 24 from Smith's, and included a gift receipt. It was over the holidays and I finally made it back to the store on Jan 30 to seek an exchange. I was told the amount my friends paid was $130 for the sweater... but it had since gone on sale at 50% off and now the best Smith's could do was give me a store credit for $65. Bottom line: Smith's got my friends' money upfront, Smith's got a new unused sweater returned to them, presumably to resell; plus if I use the $65 credit they earn mark-up on whatever I buy. That's a profitable transaction for them but a real irritant for me. I'm embarrassed to tell my friends about this. Smith's should be embarrassed for enforcing a bogus gift return policy.

Great place to shop & the salespeople are knowledgeable and not pushy. I brought my 8 year old daughter with me and the sale people spoke with her and got her opinion on the clothes I tried on. I met both of the owners of the store when I was there and they take a lot of pride in their store and it shows.

We should have walked in ages ago. Today we did and Trey lived up to the words of a now long ago interview when he and his partner were new owners of Smith's Men's Store...he said, "We want every customer to feel that we've been waiting all day for them to walk in the door..." And,Trey, that is exactly how we felt. Thank you. Welcoming, knowledgable team, great looking, quality product, prompt, polite service. We'll be back.
