Super knowledgeable and cared about running and ensuring we got the correct running shoes. Took a look at my sons balance and stride and listened to his concerns and picked out the shoes he should try. The knowledge itself was 5 stars, but the sincerity and friendly attitude made this a great place and a great small business to support. We were visiting, but if they were in Virginia I would never go anywhere else.

Incredibly rude, and don’t seem to communicate among employees, even though I’m told they are all family. I came in with my wife about 2 weeks ago, and inquired if they could change an innertube on my E bike. At first, the young man behind the desk said they could only do it if the battery was removed. When I explained that the battery is not removable, they said, if I could get the UL certification from the manufacturer, and bring it to them, then they would accept the bike and do the repair. I went through all the steps of getting the UL certification, and then, this morning, I loaded my 100 pound bike into my vehicle, drove it down to the shop, only for a different man behind the counter, and his mom, to tell me they would not work on the bike. I explained what the last person said, and they told me, in so many words, there’s no way anybody said that. When I said that I wished they would communicate to their employees not to give incorrect information, they said, nobody would’ve said that, we are all family here. Well, what a horrible taste of a family run business. Don’t give this family your business, they are rude and give false information, only to have you waste your time and energy.

Great place to get a proper fitting for new shoes. I've got issues with my ankle and they took the time to make sure I got the right pair.

I took my bike to fix it, they literally made fun of the bike and gave me a really high price to reassemble it. I later took it to the bike shop in Lake Bluff and they were so kind and did not charge me a single dollar.

Amazing service, professional, helpful, and friendly.Riding from Chicago to Milwaukee on my commuter and destroyed my tire. Took the metra to the lake forest stop because this was the only bike shop open early on my route.Immediately at 0900 I went in and got my tire fixed as well as some upgrades to my bike in less than 15 minutes. Total god send. Fantastic service!

I love bike shops, and visit everyone I come across. Jay and Denise, the proprietors, were extremely gracious and friendly. Did not buy any bikes today, but they pointed us out to a local place for us to get coffee. Would definitely shop here if I needed a bike!

Bought my first Wilson tennis racket and Schwinn 10 speed at this store in 1985! This store and Sweets candy store were my two favorites as a kid. ? Still family owned too!

My 13 year old son and I worked with Aric and his father who sized and customized my son’s bike. It didn’t take long, but in the 30 minutes we spent together, I felt more like a family member than a customer. And we appreciated the years of experience that came with their recommendations. We look forward to returning!

I love this sport shop in Lake Forest. Jay is the best! He is more like a friend than a seller, he recommended a bike and it was exactly what I needed. From now on this is my #1 sport shop.

I've lived in LF for over 30 years, and I've tried to shop local. Used Kiddles for my recent bike tune up. They said it would be a week or two. After a month, I had gotten no call that it was done. I went in and was told "We called you last month". There had been no call, as I checked to see that they had my correct phone number. And, if they had called, and I did not come in, wouldn't they have called back after a week? There was a softly muttered apology. Also, without asking me, they changed my chain, and charged extra labor for that. And the bike was dirty, despite paying for a cleaning as part of the tune up. Again, I got a soft "I'm sorry" as the sales person walked away, leaving me in the shop to clean off the dirt. I'll go to the bike shop I used to go to from now on.
