We had a very comfortable and quiet stay. The front desk agent at check in was friendly and efficient. Room was a little old, but otherwise very clean. Location was good, close to the base and a short drive to local restaurants. Unfortunately, we left a couple of things behind but thankfully the staff turned them in and the manager, Mike, was quick to respond in helping to get the items sent back to us.

Safe area, no hot water or water pressure. It's not a breakfast buffet... waffles and snack items. The beds were fine. It was OK, but way overpriced for what it was.

This hotel served me perfectly. I needed basic things like breakfast and a safe location near the Great Lakes Navy RTC. This place was perfect for me and my need. The staff were kind, my room was clean, the breakfast was good. The best part for me besides the hotel itself was how close in proximity it is to everything I needed to do. There is also a convenience of plenty of food options in sight from the hotel.I will stay here again when I visit.

The worst choice hotel I've walked into in 10 years. I am a business traveler who is gone about 30% of the time and a diamond member. The lot is compact and the had trash strewn about. Near the driveway was a pillow and blanket just laying in the road on the ground.I was greeted by a clerk and tried to check in. I advised there was an authorization form for payment sent. At the end of my check-in she asked me to swipe the card. I continued, saying I had told her they had an authorization form for payment. She called a manage, he lied and said they have a new system and they cannot check me in unless I had that card physically. They then asked for $100 deposit, I continued to explain what an authorization form is, guaranteed payment for a business traveler etc. Since they were not fully understanding I called choice and had a rep on the phone. I asked the rep if this isn't resolved is cancelling and option with no penalties. The manager and the clerk heard me say this to choice and immediately canceled my room. I never asked them to do so. It was a question to choice. They were so rude and absolutely unprofessional. There was also a large language barrier.Stay away do not waste your time here. They are less than accommodating and have shady practices of asking for an extra $100 deposit. The authorization form is guaranteed payment and there should have been no reason for the extra $100. I ended up staying a few miles away at a comfort suites near Gurnee with no issues.Safety: Seems run down and unsafe.

It was close to the Naval base which is what we needed. Breakfast was also okay. I paid for 2 rooms for 2 nights each for my family to visit for the Naval Graduation. Both rooms were supposed to be 2 queen beds but they were not queens, they were full beds. The room on the 1st floor was okay, but our 2nd room on the 2nd floor had mold on the ceiling. No service to rooms, but we were able to request some extra towels. You have to take your own trash to a dumpster at the back of the hotel.

Very close to where I need to go for my daughter's Naval boot camp graduation. The room was clean. The check-in lady was friendly. Overall, I had great experience. Recommended.

The location is good, IF and truly only if you're staying for the Navy Base. Otherwise, it is inconvenient. However, the stay begins with you opening your car door and inhaling the smell of Sleep Inn's garbage. Yes, the smell of their trash. It permeates everywhere. The parking is cramped, and the parking lot is dirty, matching the smell. The lobby is okay but cluttered. The rooms are expensive and small, no tub, just a stand up shower. The fridge didn't work well, and was leaking, no microwave (and for the cost, there should be), and the overall amenities or lack there of was pathetic. Overall, it wasn't worth the price and there was no regulation on how noisy the other rooms were. We were supposed to stay for three nights. We checked out immediately the next morning. No, thank you.

It's a decent place to stay, great location, decent price, and they do offer a decent spread for breakfast. Rooms are very small though but comfortable, and no daily maid service. For a non smoking facility the hallway and stairwell at night are unfortunately full of pot smoke at least on the 2nd floor....not good when you and your child are allergic. Windows on the second floor open but there are no screens so be careful!! I would not stay again due to the drugs being used inside. When I let staff know they sprayed febreeze and asked the druggies to stop smoking inside.Nearby activities: There is a McDonald's and Dunkin donuts across the street along with a convenient store. There is a diner that serves breakfast, lunch and dinner a block from the hotel. It is well lit, safe area. It is less than 5 miles from the graduation center for recruits.Safety: It is very well lit around the entire hotel. Very quiet street, seems safeWalkability: Several places to walk to for everything you would need.Food & drinks: McDonald's, Dunkin donuts across the street. A diner about a block away

We traveled from South Texas for our Son's Navy Graduation & chose this lil hotel & had the best stay, Beds were extremely comfortable, room was clean but a little small, breakfast was simple, didn't hear a single noise, wasn't far from Navy Graduation, Would highly recommend!

Rooms were clean and comfortable and desk persons were helpful and friendly. And close to the Navy academy. I thought it was wonderful they had a wall of pics of our new Navy graduates as well from other families that stayed there.

We were there for two nights and had to get up early for the Navy graduation ceremony and flight back home. Breakfast time served at 6am is nice but it was only waffles, cereal, oatmeal and fruit. They should include more protein like scrambled eggs and bacon or sausage like other hotels do. The room was very clean and comfortable.

This hotel is in doityourself mode. There is no maid service, so you need to bag up your own trash and take to the dumpster, and each day go to the front desk to request any of the essentials that are normally provided. They still charge full price though. The room is tiny, so much so that there is no place to set the suitcase except in the middle of the floor where you walk back and forth. Friends stayed in. Springhill suite by Marriott that was nearby and paid nearly the same amount but had more than double the space. Price we paid was $122 a night, but it felt like it should have been more like $50.The bed and pillows were super comfy though, and the young people working the front desk were very nice and helpful.

I needed to find a place for my Father to stay for my Sister's Navy graduation. This would be his first time leaving our home state, his first plane ride and he'd be travelling alone (he doesn't even know how to use Uber)! I didn't know where to start and luckily spoke to Andy... After speaking with Andy I knew this is where I wanted my Dad to stay. From our very first conversation I could tell that Andy was genuinely concerned and wanted to help. I was patiently provided detailed instructions, helpful suggestions and reassurance that Andy and his team could help my inexperienced Father safely navigate his short but busy trip. I am so GRATEFUL and Happy to say that Andy and the Sleep Inn team more exceeded any/all expectations I had!Aside from the excellent service my Father received (not limited to but including providing more detailed instructions, assurance, and handling all transportation needs!), Andy took it upon himself to keep me informed with important status updates on my Dad (arrival, departure, ect). As a concerned daughter so very far away, this meant the world to me!!... I really feel as though Andy empathized with our situation and treated my Father and I as he'd want his family to be treated. We are so blown away to receive such Aloha, so far from home!Whether you are a seasoned or novice traveler, or perhaps needing to send a treasured loved one to watch a Naval graduation, you can count on receiving excellent service and the greatest of care here. True peace of mind, at such an AMAZING VALUE!Thank you so much to Andy and the Sleep Inn Lake Bluff Team!PS. No complaints from Dad; he's now telling all his friends he knows where the best place to stay in Illinois is ;)

I went to the Sleep Inn while visiting Great Lakes naval station. The staff was very helpful, the prices were great and they had good availability. My room was clean and a very nice room. I had an excellent 2 night stay there and will definitely be returning. It's also right next to a Duncan donuts/gas station so great for late night snacks or early morning breakfast.
