Was told not to go to Linnea's 's to have jewelry repaired but instead I went spent about $300 to have batteries put in my watch and new watch, bands and rings resize. Went on vacation and one of the watches died. Came home went to Linnea's. I know they were closing. I just wanted to let them know that I needed a new battery because it wasn't working, right The owner said to me is probably your watch there's something wrong with it. I got disgusted walked out she came running out to tell me that she had been in business for 40 years and she knew what she was talking about well as it turned out, it was the battery I did not have them repaired. I took it someplace else would never go back there. Rude owner.

I'm so happy with my redesigned wedding set! I wanted my 3 yellow gold rings to be combined into one white gold one that incorporated all the original stones. We got married fairly young, and my main diamond is not large, but I preferred not to upgrade the stone for sentimental reasons. I was pleased that there was no attempt to upsell. I had an idea of what I wanted, and Denise worked patiently with me to refine it, providing various options and ideas I wouldn't have come up with. The final result is perfect for me! I'm very appreciative of Denise's guidance and creativity.

There are no words to describe how thankful we are for Linnea Jewlers!! Denise custom designed four different rings for us; my engagement ring, two wedding bands and a wedding gift that will now be a family heirloom! She made the whole process so seamless and stress free! If you are looking for a ring, this is the place to go!

My new rings are STUNNING! I had taken in a cocktail ring given to me by my mother (that I would never wear). Denise and her staff came up with a couple designs for me to choose from. They communicated with me throughout the process as we tweaked the design. I am in love with the new rings. I am having additional pieces made with the leftover stones and I am sure they will be fabulous too. Great customer service Great staff

I had never been to this jewelry store until today when I went to get a price for the sale of some jewelry I do not use anymore. The person who priced it was very defensive when I asked how the price was reached as I had another estimate that was higher and it was provided based on weight in grams. She did not know the weight and was curt with her response. She told me that I didn’t have to sell it and was overall condescending and rude. There was another customer in the store and two other employees (that I could see) and frankly, it was very embarrassing for my husband and me to be treated so disrespectfully.

I cannot say enough good things about my experience here. Cheryl helped me design an awesome engagement ring and the process couldn't have been smoother. She was able to help me focus my ideas into a completed product that my fiance loved! The entire staff here are friendly and personable. I'm very happy I picked Linnea, I really couldn't have asked for anything better.

Linnea’s has always been the most qualified and professional jewelers to help with all my custom pieces and repairs over the last 12 years. I have been to many jewelers, but none have compared to Linnea’s. If you are going to hand over your prize possessions to anyone, or create a once in a lifetime custom jewelry piece, Linnea’s is the absolute best. Their product knowledge, customer service, and friendly environment is worth the stop at their Lagrange store. Thank you Linnea!!! :)

Had a new ring fashioned for me at Linnea using my old gold rings and broken jewelry. It still was not inexpensive. But I love the new ring! I am well pleased with how it looks, fits etc. and will probably always wear it. However, I won't be returning to shop at Linnea due to the condescending and patronizing attitude of the owner. I'm surprised the woman has not mastered better interpersonal skills in dealing with the public. I'll shop elsewhere.

A huge shout out to Linnea Jewelers in LaGrange! My wedding ring was in serious need of TLC and my husband’s band was missing a diamond. I’m embarrassed to say I hadn’t had it serviced in a very long time since my long time family friend jeweler passed away. Everyone at Linnea was so friendly. The prices were reasonable for fixing my prongs, rhodium plating, and replacing my husband’s diamond. I also mentioned our wedding anniversary is next week. They were about 3 weeks out for services. I told them I understood and the most important thing was to have them repaired. They called me back in one week and had them ready!! So now we can celebrate our anniversary with our rings looking just like they did 19 years ago! I highly recommend Linnea Jewelers! — at Linnea Jewelers.

Just a shout out to Linnea Jewelry in La Grange! My relative had a badly scratched gemstone ring that was well worn and assumed it was only sellable for the materials. Denise was able to remove all of the scratches, replace the tips of the prongs and all for an incredibly low price! An old ring that was never worn is now an absolutely beautiful piece of jewelry!

Last week I dropped off my mom's necklace for restringing and a clasp fix. I was quoted one price and by the time it was ready to be picked up, the price had almost doubled. ($36 to $63... I'm sure the sales associate just transposed her numbers. She was friendly and I'm sure it was an honest mistake.) I went to pick it up yesterday, and immediately saw it wasn't done properly. The original necklace had knots that are meant to separate the beads and be a color contrast. But it wasn't done like that at all. The knots were now so little that they were slipping inside the bead holes allowing the beads to touch. I kindly pointed it out to the friendly sales associate, she agreed it wasn't done right, and went to talk to the owner. Owner: I hear you're unhappy with the work? Me: Yes, the knots should be visible and should keep the beads from touching, as they were originally when I brought it to you. Owner: I'm going to explain this only once, so listen carefully... Me: Um...I... Owner: I said listen carefully... Me: I don't think it's necessary to speak to me that way. Owner: Ok, how would you like me to speak to you? I started to try to say something like, I'm sure I could have understood whatever you wanted to explain to me without..... but before I could even answer she walked away from me and went into the back. When she came out, she spoke to me in a slow sing-songy baby voice and said they would try again with double knots between the larger beads and asked if that would make me happy. All choked up I managed to get out that I just wanted it to have the appearance it had when I brought it in to you. After that I don't even know what else was said. UPDATE: I texted the number the sales associate used to communicate with me. I asked that they not do any further repair and that I'd be in tomorrow to pick up the necklace. The owner said condescendingly, "Yes, ma'am!" When I went it, they couldn't find it. Then once it was found, she proceeded to tell me the charge was $63. We went back and forth about how it wasn't done correctly/yes it was. She said that yesterday I tossed the necklace back and insulted "her girl." That absolutely didn't happen. I did say it wasn't done correctly, and at the time she agreed that at least the larger beads should have had double knots in between. She was telling me that I had a problem and just wanted it for free. No, not at all. I just want it done the way it was when I brought it to you. She told me to leave her store and never come back. The only reason I went back after spending last night in tears was to get the necklace. I have an artist/jewelry making friend who read my Facebook post and she's going to do it with the proper knots in between the beads. Don't worry, I'll never even walk past your shop again. You're one of the meanest people I've ever encountered.

Stopped by to get new batteries on my 4 watches. While I was waiting I asked if they had in house jewelry repair, because my ring was pulling on my clothes. I didn’t get her name, but I’m assuming it was the owner, she took my ring, repaired it and cleaned it, right there and then. Didn’t charge me for it. She was so nice. BTW I fell in love with several of their jewelry items ❤️ Love their service. Thank you!!!!

I came to Linnea to have my moms wedding ring sized to fit me. I was absolutely floored by the owners knowledge, care and kindness. My mom had passed away earlier this year so this was a very big deal to me and when I went to pick up my ring it was even more gorgeous sparkly than I had ever remembered. And the ring fit perfectly. This jeweler is so passionate about her craft and it oozes out of her. So impressed so grateful and happy.
