“My family and I have had our children at St. Cletus for the past 8 years. The creative staff, hard working teachers and welcoming community have been great fit for our family. Our kids have enjoyed the sports and after school activities offered such as Japanese club, chess, soccer, flag football. We love the opportunity to make connections with teachers and other families. Our kids have made excellent friendships and so have we! We were welcomed into the community and feel like a true part of it. It’s great to have a connection to what is going on at the school. Highly recommend!”

“During my visit, the gopuram was under reconstruction, making navigation a bit challenging. However, purchasing archanai tickets was easy, thanks to a self-service kiosk, and there was no queue. The priests were friendly and very helpful. The cafeteria offers a wide variety of delicious vegetarian dishes, including dosa, vada, pongal, and various sweets. The food tastes amazing!”

“Had an amazing experience at Unity Temple today! I ended up being the only one on the guided tour, and even though my English listening and speaking skills aren’t the best, I really appreciated the guide’s patience. They slowed down their speech and frequently explained terms to make sure I understood.
The first half of the tour focused a lot on the design concepts and the details of the building’s restorations over the years. In the second half, the guide delved into Wright’s thoughts on the social role of the church and how these ideas were reflected in the design. One thing that really stuck with me was the idea that a church isn’t just a place for worship, but also a space for serving the community. Wright emphasized the importance of gathering spaces, designing large areas for events, even including a big kitchen so people could come together, share meals, and connect. I found it incredibly moving.”

“If you’re looking for a Spirit-led, Bible-based, open arms kind of church (and why wouldn’t you be?!), check out this church plant(?). It’s of course part of a larger NFC network, but seemed focused on being a blessing to the Villa Park community. It’s meeting in the basement of another church so if you’re looking for deluxe accommodations, this isn’t it. But if you’re looking for “salt of the Earth” kind of people, this is a church to check out.”

“Though we're non-members, we did raise a donation to their food pantry during our fundraiser MDFPA-Jason's Deli. Very appreciative and helpful. Would loved to have seen your congregation stop by our table that day. Maybe next time.”

“No, this is not Henry. It is his wife, Beverly. This church is there to feed you spiritually. It's more than a building. People care. I know because I just lost Henry to Covid-19 and the caring warmth pouring out from church members has helped sustain me during my hours of grief. Both Henry and I were active members of the church. The church members recognize "We are the church!" Always there for each other. Always seeking and finding God's grace within its walls and being uplifted by each. It is through involvement that one realizes they are gaining more than one could give. It is through being a St. John Lutheran Church member in Darien that we recognize Jesus working through its members. Some things that seem small acts of kindness at the time are huge things to others. Come and see and experience this for yourself. The Holy Spirit will be there to guide and direct you. Jesus has promised this. Bev Grimme”
