Went to shop at 7 am today. Tony's is a great store but I have one thing they need improvement on. When you have no cashiers available til 830 am you should give the people that have to self checkout a 10% discount on their items. I don't get paid to be a cashier!!!!! Unhappy today!

I love Tony's. There is a young man who works self checkout he is always helpful, respectful and kind. I told him he was my favorite person. Tony's has fresh fruit and vegetables and the store is clean I go here atleast once a week. I am glad they put this store here it is very convenient. By the way I think that young man should get a raise?

Purchased a $10 package of ground beef patties that I was charged $15 for; thankfully their customer service department sorted that issue out. However after bringing them home and freezing them, I learned that the patties were in no way divided, so as they froze, they froze together in half-half lumps of ground beef that became impossible to thaw properly. Half the patties are frozen solid, stuck together, while the other half is completely thawed, falling apart at the slightest attempt to remove the rest. Some of the patties even broke apart when attempting to separate them. Will not be buying meat from this establishment again.

I was very impressed by the huge selection of meat and fish on display. Many hard to find food items there.

I had been looking all over the Joliet area grocery stores for specific spices to make chicken shawarma at home. I had hit Aldi, Food 4 Less and Jewel and was still missing two of the spices needed as well as missing pita bread.I walk into Tony's and not only did they carry ALL the spices needed, they had all the fresh herbs and the pita bread.I was simply amazed how complete their fresh herbs and spice sections of the store were.Thank you!!

I am amazed by the selection, product, and overall layout of the store and how it was put together as a former Kmart to a brand new Tony's Fresh Market. I also noticed a fairly decent International market selection of foods from Latin American to the entire region of Europe down to Asian products. I intend to stick with Tony's or Mariano's for those ingredients.

I went to Tony’s on Jefferson and Larkin, Joliet. I shopped there for it’s sale items. On all my visits that I have shopped there the items are no longer available. Today the peaches were few and 99% were rotten. I don’t see this in their other locations. Sad.

This place is a THIEF. IF U EVER NEED TO USE A SPLIT PAYMENT OPTION HERE just DO TWO DIFFERENT TRANSACTIONS INSTEAD. GET TWO DIFFERENT RECEIPTS FOR THE TWO DIFFERENT FORMS OF PAYMENT ur using, I PROMISE U WONT REGRET IT!!I came into the store yesterday & made a purchase of 165.88. I KNEW that i may have been over buying but i’ll rather buy MORE if need be & return than to not have enough at all. I over bought on 7/1. Today 7/2 (the very next morning) i come to return the extras. I made my original purchase in SPLIT payment. 113.00 EBT followed by $52 credit card payment to cover the remaining balance. When i arrived to RETURN i was told i could only be refunded a EBT portion & not the overpayment of CREDIT back onto my credit card. I have NEVER heard of this before. Mind you, the amount that i was returning was $60. which is ALMOST equivalent to the overpayment CREDIT card portion. The grl told me she could give me $45 in EBT & $17 back onto credit card. Like WHAT. I paid $50 CREDIT. Refund the $50 CREDIT & the remaining overpayment of $17 onto my EBT. cuz Technically i paid CREDIT for the amount thats being RETURNED. She explained that they get into trouble for returning credit. I can understand if u got in trouble for returning credit/cash for a EBT only transaction but this was NOT the case. The amount of MY transaction that I WAS RETURNING was the CREDIT AMOUNT that i had spent so i should of been REFUNDED for my freakin CREDIT PURCHASE AMOUNT. if i EVER hVe to shop here & use a split payment option im definitely doing TWO totally different transactions. Cuz if i EVER need to return i will NEVER run into being scammed out of my CREDIT AMOUNT ever. After goin back & forth with the cashier & then SETTLING because i hate to look like im “causing a scene” ? im already a person of color.. i just told her to return the $50 ebt & the $17 credit. Cuz whatever ? & i hate to be confrontational. However, now that i still sit here & THINK ABOUT IT, it still didn’t make sense cuz she ORIGINALLY told me, “oh the amount ur returning is $60, whichever is more than the $50 credit & i cant split return by giving u $50 credit & $17 ebt BUT u split it to give me $50 EBT & $17 credit, the opposite ? like WHAT?? y’all are LIARS. SCAMMERS. THIEVES. I pray i never have to stop here again if im in town for another function.Ive also included photos to show PROOF. That $44.95 should of been a CREDIT REFUND. The $16.89 should of been an EBT refund. …. IF ANYONE EVER NEED TO USE A SPLIT PAYMENT OPTION i suggest u do TWO TOTALLY different transactions so if u EVER need to return u can be sure to be refunded in the same way that you paid.
