Very unprofessional. I had to provide a check for $240.00 up front for my Medicare deductible I told them my deductible had been met 6 months later still no refund . They never reply to messages HOW many Medicare patients have been screwed out of the pre paid deductible?

Unfortunately, there aren’t people that are willing to help and others that don’t try at all. I suggest that your staff should be better trained. It’s unpleasant and unkind to call to an office and no one knows anything or after a while just say, we haven’t received anything.
Having a person desperately calling two different places when other places they call and make sure they get the paperwork necessary to treat someone.
Not just that, having other staff member replying, I don’t have time; I have other people waiting.
Don’t answer the phone if you aren’t willing to help at all.
To make the story short, after several attempts, another or the same staff member replied, we aren’t taking new clients.
For the love of God, have some kindness in your heart.
If the person said, that it’s in need to see a specialist for months, it means; it’s urgent for her.
Even though, it sure doesn’t mean anything to any of you.
So unprofessional and careless from every single person that answered my calls.
One more thing, please let your references know that you’re not taking new clients and updated on Google.

I will be having cataract surgery in a month . Will have to see . So far everyone has been very nice . I've only seen the Dr once . The technicians that examined my eyes were super nice very professional and kind. The receptionist was ok. On my second visit the receptionist need to be a little more professional like. They were talking loud about who was going to lunch. Too funny .

Such a disappointment! charged me as a def pat even though I provided my insurance card. Still waiting on my contacts a month and a half later and I have called the office and left multiple messages over the last 3 weeks with not one single call back! so frustrating especially when I have no more contacts. will be changing providers ASAP

I am a cash pay patient and had a procedure done in March. I paid the agreed upon price on the day of the surgery. Just received a bill for $1375.00. Cannot reach anyone local to discuss this and had to leave a message with an Ohio number.

Doctors are great, however the area that sells the glasses is horrible. It took 3 sets of glasses and 3 months to get the correct glasses. Now 5 weeks later my glasses fell apart. I will go to the doctors next exam but take the prescription else where. The surgery I had was awesome, so again great doctors.

I had an appointment with Spectrum Eye Institute last week. I saw Dr.Rassouli. I usually see Dr. Lelis. I'm very pleased with both of them. Their assistants are also great! I'm pleased with the fact that the usual wait time is very reasonable. i suggest you make an appointment with them, if you're looking for a professional group that you can trust! Marianne J.

Can’t say enough about my visits to Spectrum. Very friendly nd totally focused on you, the patient. Especially Brandy and Barb. Also Mestafa (sp?) a perfect gentleman and knew his job down to the letter. Then I met Dr Hashmi, and she also made me feel at ease. Just had a little misunderstanding when I was checking out. One person was to handle my paperwork, but she told Brandy she was busy on the phone, so ask Joanne. Well evidently it isn’t Joanne’s job, and I noticed some discomfort. That didn’t take away from the way I was treated. As though I were the only patient being helped. It certainly relaxed me since I’m new to this cataract surgery.
I know this is. Trifle long, but I had to let you know before I forget. Surgery is the 15th of December at Spectrun Surgery near Silver Cross Hospital.

Dr Desai is always running late. Completely unacceptable. Today our appt was at 9:15 and my father wasn’t taken back until 10:15. When someone complained about the wait, the receptionist said the doctor had them move some appointments up in the schedule so the doctor could get out earlier. I understand that the doctor may need to leave for something but it is unacceptable to keep a patient waiting an hour and no one notified us of this wait when we checked in. It would have been better to cancel. This happens all the time. People have other commitments as well. It’s disrespectful of patients’ time.

Was recommended to Spectrum for LASIK by my eye doctor. After my consultation, my folder/results were forgotten about and put aside on a desk. No one followed up with me until I reached out 6 weeks later. There was miscommunication with the original quote and it was like pulling teeth to make an appointment for a later date. Poor customer service, not friendly and seemed very annoyed to help. A true disappointment. I ended up going somewhere else for LASIK due to my experience with Spectrum.

Absolutely the worst experience I I’ve ever had at a doctor’s office! Was referred to this practice by my eye doctor for cataract surgery. Went to pre-surgery appointment. I had filled out all of the paperwork prior to the appointment. Receptionist wouldn’t take it because it “wasn’t their form” ( it was). When called, nurse took me into room right off lobby and started looking at my eyes, I asked if she could shut the door as I felt like I was in the lobby, she said no. She had a terrible attitude and told me multiple times that I would be “miserable” after the first surgery until I had the second surgery and then she started the upsell, that I really need different lenses that insurance won’t cover. Doctor came in and looking at my eyes, she and the nurse actually LAUGHED at how poor my vision is!! Incredibly unprofessional!! She just assumed that I was onboard for the upgraded lenses despite I said several times I wanted to think about it/research. They then put me in a room to wait for their scheduler, after 20 minutes I walked out and asked when someone was coming, another 25 minutes and she showed up and was upset with me because I was unhappy they kept me waiting so long! I said I was leaving and she could call me to schedule. She insisted I had to have a certain paper to “check out”. I went back to reception and despite 2 employees standing there, they told me to go around the corner and wait in a line. I left, and immediately called the doctor who referred me and told their staff the story. Got a different referral, thank goodness!! If I could give zero stars, I would!!

It seems everywhere I look that just because someone had a bad day they post a lot of negative comments. I love this place. I have to wait 30 minutes so be it. They give everyone their time. Its not just a walk in, and see you next year. Dr Lelis exceptional work. Dr Hashmi awesome job with my mother in law.

I was referred here by my optometrist and it has been one of the most unprofessional experiences I've ever had with a physicians office. The tech I had yesterday asked me the same questions at least 4 times. I felt like telling her to write the answer down. Then she did the eye exam and several other tests and pictures. Just this part took 45 minutes. The doctor came in and said I was wearing contacts, which I wasn't but the tech marked down that I was. Then he said my eye pressure was good until the tech pointed to something and he said it wasn't good. Then they wrote me a prescription and I told them I wanted it sent to my Mail order pharmacy but I could fill the prescription so I could start it sooner than a week. But they went ahead and send the prescription into my mail order so I couldn't fill the written one. It's as if they don't know how insurance works. I called today and explained the situation and they called and said they would have a sample for me at the front desk. I got there at 4:20. They were closed. You would think they would mention their hours while they were on the phone with me. Needless to say I'm getting a second opinion and I will not be coming back to this practice. I have never seen such unprofessionalism and disrespect in my life and I am in doctors offices every day for work. Avoid this practice.
