“For being the late night liqour store on the east side in the ghetto on collins street, Calderon's actually isn't that bad. The prices aren't gouged like they are after certain hours in Chicago and even Cook County. I've only gone there late at night because its the spot when you've got no other options, but I've never felt like its hot with cops or hot with thugs or clucks asking for money. You're in and out. Its not a hangout. The owners have made sure of that. They'll take walk ups (people without cars) but do your business and get out and move on. This severely reduces any loitering, which there is none of. Yeah, its in the ghetto, but the owners have made certain that its safe.”
“I love this place! The worker or owner I interacted with was very friendly, kind and very knowledgeable. Liquor Town is very clean and well organized. The prices are low too! I love how they keep everything affordable, unlike some liquor stores that jack up prices & taxes. I have never seen such a wide variety of liquor & beer! I appreciate that. I like to try new things, this spot has it all! They have all the flavors and variations of Happy Dad seltzers & teas & they have a huge variety of tall boys ... I personally like them all & love trying out new flavors of things. This place has a full stock & items I haven't seen! You have to make this your go to spot. I wish I lived closer- haha! “Brand new establishment. It doesn't get alot of traffic but the lady working here is really friendly. Features tons of alcohol at great prices, it's clean, not sketchy at all even though the rest of this strip mall kind of seems that way. They got munchies and other little things so it's not a complete booze establishment.”
