Bought ground beef, it looked good but the second I opened up the packaging it smelled SOUR. I thought I was going crazy but then I split it in half and the inside was GREY. I was so upset because I was going to use it for tonight’s dinner, plus I’m out $10… this is ridiculous.

Well I wrote a report on the bad refrigeration they had They did some refrigeration but not enough. I decided to shop at the jewel on Jefferson Street much better butcher shop ,deli etc Much cleaner place. Since I've been shopping at The Jewel on Jefferson Street in Joliet My stomach hasn't been irritated probably because they know how to preserve there food better for SALE.......

The Jewel on Larkin & Theodore isn't my favorite place but it's convienient. The better Jewel is in Romeoville but a little farther from my house.

I placed a drive up order that said they finished shopping for it and never got the notification to pick up, only to be told the next day the due to so many orders they never even started mine is it not the common courtesy to at least let that customer know as such ? Now I’m waiting for a refund and have to wait to grocery shop somewhere else.

The employees in the deli/hot food department are so rude, I listened to the things they were saying to a customer, they were angry about doing their job is what I got out of it! The man said he would never go back again and I dint blame him I am also probably not going back either, this isn't the first time these employees in that department talk recklessly to customers and they all are miserable with no customer service skills. Do better!

I do some shopping at Jewel, which is ok and sometimes reasonable. But I'm mostly there for the pharmacy. Which has a great staff. Always friendly.

My second time shopping here. Yesterday was the worst ever. I needed a handicapped cart there was only one in horrible condition.. My husband could not find a person to help me find another charged cart. Deli had spoiled corned beef, the clerk told me/showed me it was spoiled, he was able to get a new fresh meat, but it made me wonder. The rosen rye bread had expired 4/2/21. Produce looked old, brown and not good choices. My cart kept dying out. It was a horrible shopping experience. I was able to speak to a manager, Paige? She was very kind, understanding and willing to help me out to the car. Looking at going elsewhere next time shopping. Jewel is expensive so you would expect top notch in every way.
