Jim, John and Sonja are the absolute best. The father( Jim ) has been there for many years, and is a wonderful jeweler. Since his son and daughter in law Sonja and John have come aboard, this is our go to place for all things jewelry related. Honest and fair pricing , along with great knowledge and excellent personality is what makes this a great shop. Go and check them out. You won't be disappointed!!

I can't comment on the quality of this jeweler's work. This is review about poor customer service and a lack of respect for the customer.I left a ring with J & M to be resized. (FWIW: I REALLY liked the lady who helped me. She was pleasant and very informative.) She told me to pick the ring up in 2 days.SIX days later, I called to find out if they were open. The phone went to voice mail and said "we are with a customer." It did not say we are closed on Monday. It stated no hours of operation. When I got there and rang the bell a man inside shouted, "We're closed".When I went back the next day, 7 days after dropping it off, they HAD DONE NO work on the ring. I had to wait while a fellow re-sized and polished the ring. He offered NO apology, no reason for the delay - he just pushed the shiny ring and a bill across the counter. He DID wish me a nice day!The lost trip across town was irritating. How much trouble is it have useful voicemail, like other companies that respect their customers time?Of course, time lost to traveling and waiting inside is not really that big of deal. The point is their obvious lack of respect for their customers.As a former customer service professional, I learned that a company that has no respect for its customers cannot be trusted to have the customers' best interest at heart. The two attitudes are diametrically opposed.I had plans to work with them on some other pieces. Not now.

They were very friendly and professional. They did a beautiful job of resetting my diamond to strengthen the prongs. I'll use them again for sure. My daughter recommended them because they have been happy with their business.

The best jeweler and store for miles and miles. They are amazing with creating custom, heirloom items. If you have an idea or concept, they take the time to work with you to make it come to life as a one-of-a-kind statement piece. I look forward to many more custom creations by J&M!

I don't even want to give this store 1 star. I bought a ring from this jewelry store 2 years ago. It had very very small diamonds in it and one of the owners sold it to me for $600. It also wasn't just a ring, it was an engagement ring.I proposed to the girl and she said yes. After a few days she called it off and it was hard to digest, but eventually got over it. Sometime after I was passing through Frankfort IL. I still had the ring and just for the heck of it, I stopped by a jewelry shop over there where I got the ring appraised. Kid you not, the ring wasn't even worth $100 bucks. I then took it to another jewelry shop in that same area and had a second appraiser look at it.Same story. I was told that I was ripped off. I am still to this day desgusted why one of the owners of J & M Jewelery would rip me off. I, Someone who doesn't know the value of a ring and just wants to be happy. This is a true story and I am not making it up. I have since been so embarrassed to even return the ring because I trusted the owner and what is more, he told me he was giving me a discount on it. Just went here, sign says open. Ignorant owner states we are closed, I even called at 4pm to verify hours he said we are here until 6. I guess my money is no good here, I’ll take my business elsewhere. If you don’t wear a collar you must not be allowed to enter.
