I cannot say enough good things about this funeral home! From start to finish, Jim and Mike were so very helpful and truly made this as seamless as possible. The funeral home is clean, bright, updated, and very welcoming. Jim was amazing at going through our options for my Dad and made our selection process easy and very accommodating to the little changes we made here and there. Everything was organized in a folder for us and he made sure we didn’t have any questions and if we did he responded almost immediately and made himself very accessible. Mike was there the day of the wake and he was amazing and very compassionate. Everything went perfectly and we joked about how my dad actually looked better at his showing than his final days with us (but he really did). The funeral and church proceedings went smoothly and like I said, professional, timely, and so very organized. They had the option to play my Apple playlist I made over the stereo system there, we made a slideshow that played during the service that they provide the link to upload and use so easily, and also had many easels for our numerous photo boards. When looking for a place for your loved one, I wouldn’t go anywhere else! They went above and beyond to make sure my Dad was celebrated how we wished and we felt that! Thank you Jim & Mike for going the extra mile. We would recommend them to anyone without a doubt.

Farkas funeral home is above and beyond the best funeral home in the area. Jim and his team were by our side for every part of the process. We felt heard and supported every step of the way. Our family could not have made it through this difficult time without Jim. He is compassionate and showed our loved one incredible care. The funeral home is beautiful and the process was seamless. Highly recommend!

While I'm sure that no one is ever truly prepared for the death of a loved one, I was absolutely clueless when my mother passed suddenly last October. However, Jim made the process so very easy and walked me through all that needed to be done, from the process of having her remains shipped from California, to all the other details like flowers and pictures. I really cannot say enough about the care and compassion I was shown, as well as the beautiful funeral service. A wonderful light during a terribly difficult time.

Working with them was a positive experience in a very sad circumstance. They were kind, compassionate, and took care of details to lessen the things needing to be done. They did a beautiful job and paid attention to details that were important to us. I would highly recommend them.

We had an a great experience with Farkas Funeral Home. I had come in two weeks prior to look at service arrangements and pricing for my mother since she was placed in hospice. I wanted to make sure I had everything planned so I would not be a wreck when it came time to plan. Jim was amazing and so very helpful. From talking about what happens after her death to the funeral and services afterwards. Our family had a piece of mind knowing that our mom was taken care of and respected in all after life care. We also loved how nice the funeral home was and how intimate it felt. We had also looked at a few other funeral homes in the area but the prices were outrageous. Farkas was in our price range and not many people think of this ahead of time. Thank you to each and every one of the members who helped us. We truly appreciate it.

I lost my husband unexpectedly and was traumatized to say the least. My world was shattered. I contacted Farkas Funeral home in Joliet IL and they were truelly amazing. They were kind, warm and caring. They helped me through the process and made it so easy on me. My mind was not able to ask questions that they already knew the answers to.
