I have had it with this place. If my dog wasn’t 12 years old, we would definitely switch vets. Not only did they refuse to stay the day we knew our other dog was dying, they are only out for the money. We’ve had our dogs on wellness plans, paying over $60 a month when we had both dogs since 2008. $45 to check for an ear infection when we’ve paid every single month and only bring our dog in when she needs shots? If I could give this place negative stars, that’s what I would get them. They don’t care about your animals, they just want your money. Nothing more than money. Please, if you love your pet, go to Plainfield Veterinary Clinic. They actually love their patients and show it.Banfield, why is that when others leave 1 star, when that’s the lowest we can go, you only reply to certain ones? My dog died because I called at 6:30, telling the front desk we could be there in 10 minutes. I was told, word for word, “I can’t ask my doctors to stay after 7pm.” Almost 14 years and having 2 dogs on a wellness plan, and your doctors couldn’t stay to help a dying dog? Disgusting. I was told to go to Plainfield Emergency Vet. I pulled into what I thought was the emergency vet, but it was an AMAZING veterinarian clinic, who happened to still have the doctor and receptionist there. When they saw my 4 kids, husband and me holding my dying dog, they rushed outside (well after they closed by the way) and stayed with us, ran tests and respectfully helped us, and my kids (who are triplets and it was their birthday) say goodbye to our believed baby. We were they, the doctor was there, until AFTER 9pm when they closed at 7. Maybe take some tips from the better vets in the area because you aren’t it.

If I can give no stars I would. I had a really unfortunate experience when I brought my cat to this veterinary clinic about 6 weeks ago. My cat was suffering from a skin issue and was displaying signs of lethargy, so it was crucial to get him immediate medical attention. However, the overall visit turned out to be the worst experience ever.During the examination, the vet administered steroids and prescribed them for home. However, even after following the recommended treatment, my cat's condition has worsened rather than improved. This has left me feeling extremely disappointed and upset. Furthermore, I was disappointed that the clinic did not provide any at-home care recommendations or suggestions for the type of food that could help improve my cat's condition. I was left feeling lost and unsure of how to best care for my pet during his recovery process. On top of all this, the receptionist at the clinic was incredibly rude and unhelpful. They showed no empathy or understanding towards my concerns and seemed more interested in rushing me out than addressing my questions or providing any additional information. This lack of professionalism only added to my overall negative experience at this veterinary clinic. To add to the frustration, the clinic also provided a quote of over 1k for additional tests, which I found to be completely outrageous. Considering the lack of improvement in my cat's health, I now deeply regret choosing this clinic for his treatment.Overall, the experience has left me feeling both saddened and angry, as my pet's condition has not improved and I feel as though I have wasted both time and money seeking medical help from this clinic. SAVE YOUR MONEY and AVOID THIS PLACE.

Me and my sister had an appointment to get a rabies vaccine for my puppy at 10:30 today (as of Monday 10/16/2023). When we arrived the worker that was present said we didn’t (despite the fact that we showed her on our phone) and basically turned us away and told us to reschedule. It took us calling the manager and being able to squeeze a reschedule same day, but we are satisfied with the visit so far. The worker from this morning though, left a really negative impression and I honestly wouldn’t come back if she was present.

I cannot express the gratitude I am feeling from the support of the doctor and her staff. They provided a complete diagnostic of issues our cat was experiencing. They took the utmost care of our pet and contacted us frequently on our pet's prognosis. We will definitely recommend Banfield Pet Hospital for our friends' pets preventative and urgent care!

Terribly unprofessional. My husband called to schedule our dog in for an appointment, informed them over the phone that she had not been there and asked if we needed anything prior to the appointment for her to be treated. All they asked is if she had her rabies shot, which she does and has the tags for. They said they would be able to accept her with the tags.Got to our 930am appointment on a Saturday morning. She then informed me that they in fact could not accept her without the rabies papers ? and wanted me to email them. My dogs usual vet is closed on Saturdays. Hence the reason we asked PRIOR to the appointment. Why say the tags are acceptable if they are not.My husband called them and told them this is not what he was told when scheduling, the girl on the phone told him to hold so she could ask the vet. He was on hold for 10 minutes, then the girl got on the phone n told him she'd call back in a few minutes with an answer. She also told him that if there's no call back, then they probably decided to just accept her. ?AN HOUR AND A HALF LATER, still no call back, me waiting outside with my 3 year old for our dog to be finished, my husband calls to see what's going on. They answer and tell him that they can't accept her without paperwork. ? Why the hell did you people make my dog sit in a kennel for an hour and a half knowing she wouldn't be accepted? ?Waste of time plain and simple. Completely unprofessional and being busy is no excuse. Pick up the damn phone n get her out of there then.Especially knowing the circumstances, I came in with my 76lb 7 month old puppy, my 3 year old son, visibly struggling. I informed her that I'm having a hard time cause I am ALSO 7 MONTHS PREGNANT. ???Do not waste your time or money on these inconsiderate, unorganized, and unprofessional people.

If I would be able to leave 0 stars I would. This place has not been able to treat my 5 month old goldendoodle that has been having an ear infection for weeks! They throw all these extra charges and medications walking out every time paying almost 200+ ever since time while on the payment plan.I also expressed concern regarding spaying my goldendoodle at 5 months because she is not fully matured but they considered my puppy to be a small breed? I go looking into my app they have her listed as a mini poodle when she will be a full grown goldendoodle and my breeder and all other vets told me to wait between 7 months - 1 year.I don’t not trust this place as it’s been over 2 months that they cannot treat my puppy’s DOUBLE ear infection. Yes, goldendoodles are prone to ear infections but it’s been months and they cannot get it resolved at all. This place just cares about money and also they do everything in the back without you knowing if they really do treatment or not. If they do the so called treatment my puppy should be improving by now.

My pet was in dire need of help. They took xtrace. And then did nothing for him just giving pain pills. Way over priced over $400 just for that period God I hope I never have to go back there again. Never did find the reason he was so sick.

DO NOT GO HERE! We are currenty paying for the Banfield puppy plan. My first visit when registering for the puppy plan was easily scheudule. After that first visit, scheduling appointments became near impossible. When my dog had two ticks on her nose after a walk, I called 3 seperate locations and no one was willing to make an appointment for us. We even asked if we could get an appointment for a different day if we could remove the ticks ourselves and they repeated that there were no available appointments. After all this, we were able to take her into Timberline Animal Hospital that same day! This is when we found out that Banfield had also misdiagnosed our puppy when we went to our inital visit. They had us buy expensive medications and food that have now gone to waste. Because of all of these issues and the positive experience we had at Timerberline, we had called to cancel our Banfield puppy plan. They are now trying to charge us $300 to cancel the plan saying that is what the appontment would have cost. I have been a dog owner my enitre life and after the bill was already $300 for the medications, cannot fathom paying $600 total for a puppy wellness visit. We were not able to pay the $300 extra to cancel our plan so we are now stuck paying for the puppy plan even though we now go to Timberline anytime our dog needs to go to the vet! Big waste of money but I would not trust these people with treating my dog and certainly not to spay her!
