We would not stay here again; it was not a disaster but I would expect more from Westin and 4 star hotel; for Gold Marriott member breakfasts are not included; couldn’t take showers on few occasions as the water in the bathtub was not hot enough (11th floor). The location looks good on a map but to get to hwy one must take few side roads. The pool also was closed for maintenance, weird choice during Christmas.Rooms: Basic rooms, water in our bathroom was frequently luke warmNearby activities: Woodfield Mall and all Schaumburg IL area has to offer

The Hotel was nice but it could have used a little spruce up. Employees there were very nice and accommodating!

As a retired female business traveler, I really appreciate the security features. You need a room key to access the sleeping floors in the elevator. The fitness room has a nice view of the distant Chicago skyline. The only negative was that it took a while for the hot water to kick in in the shower.Overall, the room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. My husband attended a corporate dinner and said the food was excellent. The staff was friendly and helpful.

Rooms were great, but they supply ear plugs in the room. Seems cool they do, until you realize if you are in a room close to the bistro, you can hear everything very well...even on the ninth floor. Overall, not a bad place to stay. I was there for a conference and it went well, other than the roof construction. The staff, however, asked the crew to stop until our conference was over. But if you want to eat somewhere other than the hotel, you'll have to drive or Uber as it isn't close to other restaurants.

We had our wedding block here this month! Our guests loved the hotel and the rooms. Everything was so nice. We had the suite which was amazing. The only thing that was disappointing was they have a shuttle to take you to the venue and back but I had 40 guests and they only guarantee 22 seats. So if that’s something you need I would not recommend. Other than that everything else was amazing

This is a really nice hotel and for the low price I paid for it, i honestly don't have many complaints but I do have a few. First, the noise from the lobby and hallways are completely absurd. It honestly felt like I was in a luxury box at a football game with how loud the outside was when I opened my door. There were weddings going on all weekend and the guests were very loud and some of them obnoxiously drunk (okay okay, what do you expect). People were shouting and talking loud outside my room all night. This is a major disadvantage of these open concept hotels where all the hallways are exposed. This isn't a knock on the hotel really, just frustrating that some people have no manners at all. Like do you not think that you should lower your voices at 2 am when others are sleeping? I had to sleep with the TV on to cancel out the outside noise. The room was very nice and spacious and the bed was comfortable. I have no complaints about the room except the fact there was no microwave, ventilation for the bathroom and it didn't get very cold in the room despite the temp being down to 60 on the thermostat. This is the case at many hotels I've stayed at, not just the Westin, so it's not really that surprising but a microwave would be really nice.Outside of this, it was a pleasant stay. The shower was awesome, the staff were very friendly and attentive and the hotel is in a nice location (albeit, a little difficult to get to off the highway). I would definitely stay here again, just wish it wasn't so loud.

This place is an absolute trash can. The rooms are dated and feel dingy. The shower is gross with stained tile and moldy seams. The AC doesn’t cool rooms well and this isn’t even worse part. The worse part is people yelling and hollering all night in the foyer until midnight on weekdays. The worthless staff will do ZERO to address it. We had to call the cops here to get it addressed. We have brought out entire company here for years and it’s the last trip. We are switching hotels for our 100+ employee trips.

The rooms are outdated and bathrooms need desperate renovation. There is no ventilation in the bathrooms and it really shows with mold and damage. The lock on my door was broken and reported to the front desk. Beds are clean and comfortable. The hotel restaurant has wonderful servers and decent food…the older female bartender is not as friendly. You can also hear everyone in the lobby since it is an open concept hotel…there is a reason they have complimentary ear plugs.

We stayed here for an award night which means free. They gave us an upgrade to a suite which was super nice. Then after check out they charged us for the stay, over $400 dollars. We could not get anyone to help us, I called twice and couldn’t get ahold of anyone. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. I usually stay at the Hyatt Place around the corner and thought I’d give Westin a try, what an utter fail.

First I'd to say, this review in no way reflects the staff, as they can only do so much. This is more of a reflection on The Westin. My recent stay at the Westin NW Chicago left much to be desired. While the hotel boasts a reputable name, the overall experience fell short of my expectations.First and foremost, the food offered at the hotel's dining facilities was quite disappointing. It felt like I was served reheated frozen meals from the grocery store's sad selection. The lack of freshness and taste was evident, and I expected much better from a hotel of this caliber.Another major issue was the lack of soundproofing in the rooms. The walls seemed paper-thin, as I could hear every single conversation from both neighboring rooms and the room above me. The constant barking of dogs added to the cacophony, making it difficult to find any peace or quiet during my stay.Furthermore, my room's temperature was unbearable. Despite turning the air conditioning all the way down, it still felt like a sauna inside. This made it challenging to rest comfortably and made the room's ambiance quite unpleasantAdditionally, the absence of a shuttle service to and from the airport was disappointing, especially considering the hotel's proximity to the airport. It would have been convenient to have such a service, and I felt inconvenienced having to make alternative transportation arrangements.Overall, my experience at the Westin NW Chicago was underwhelming, and it felt more like a budget motel than the luxury experience I had hoped for. The issues with the food, lack of soundproofing, temperature control, and shuttle service left me with a negative impression. I had higher expectations from a hotel associated with the Westin brand and would think twice before choosing this particular location again for future stays.Rooms: Another major issue was the lack of soundproofing in the rooms. This made it challenging to rest comfortably and made the room's ambiance quite unpleasantFood & drinks: My fish n chips tasted and looked like fish sticks from the frozen food section of the grocery store and my fries were soggy.

I honestly didn't take alot of pictures. I was there for a work a conference. The hotel was nice, clean, well decorated. Every staff person from the front desk to the waitstaff was super nice and friendly. The rooms were clean, had everything you needed to stay there. The only criticism I can give is I didn't think the air conditioning made the room cold, cool, but not cold. The food did not taste like you were at a buffet. It cooked well, displayed well. None of the food tasted bad.If you are in the area and need a place to stay, give the Westin your time.

The location is beautiful! There is a wonderful trail with small ponds near the hotel. The down side was definitely the room, it was run down and the fixtures in the bathroom looked like they needed some caulk.

First time staying here, and had to write a quick review as the staff here is more than accomodating. I was impressed with the team's warmth and willingness to make a guest feel welcome. I especially appreciate Audrey at the front desk...great service!

The front desk staff greeted me immediately as I entered the building. They offered lighting fast checking service, it probably helped that there was no line.I asked about the pool and was informed it closed at 7pm. The front desk provided directions because I figured I would follow the hotels signs. The signs dont mention the pool and I wandered around for 8 minutes. The pool closed at 9pm, it maybe be a good idea for the front desk team to know that.Clean room, yet nothing stood out about the decor nor layout. The Westin only offer one bottle of water in the room which is complimentary to Bonvoy members. Compared to other chains, this is not on par with industry standards.I was on the third floor near the bar and as late as 9:45pm, I could hear guests talking and laughing. There was no in room brochure or binder to provide details about room service, dining options, television stations, nor maps of the property. At minimum, there should be a qr code to direct guests to that information.Streaming options were available, but I decided to try the TV guide which was super slow. I eventually found the movie channels.About 9:45pm headed down to checkout the grill. Immediately upon walking in, Becky at the bar did not greet me, just rudely asked if I planned to take my food to go (the grill closed at 10pm) ! As I looked at the menu, she displayed her disdain by repeatedly clicking her pen. I probably spent two minutes looking at the menu as I heard the pen clicking and her scowling from my peripheral vision. Interestingly enough, a non-person of color entered the bar and Becky quickly greeted the woman with a smile and chipper tone of voice! Minus three star for service due to good Ole Becky. The food was delicious, hot and quickly prepared. Compliments to the cooking staff.Overall, there are better hotels in the area for half the price, so I would not stay again.
