I take my French bulldog to see Dr. Adam and can't recommend him enough. He always takes his time while visiting with us and explains everything thoroughly. I feel my pet is in great hands and that I am not being taken advantage of when it comes to paying the bill.

We have been going to this veterinarian for over 15 years. During the last 3 years, we have seen a steady decline in service. The front desk personnel have basically lost most of their compassion to help the pet and their family's. I have witnessed a total lack of concern when they talk to the pet owners while they are checking in and checking out. I didn't believe what I saw at first, but then they treated me and my pet even worse. The doctors are caring, but their assistants helping out have basically lost their ability to care. If you go to this clinic, expect to be treated poorly by everyone except for the doctors themselves. If you have anything urgent, well, you are out of luck. No one seems to care.

The doctors themselves are very nice and helpful. the women at the front desk are rude, short, inconsiderate and treat concerned pet parents like they're stupid. horrible experience with them.

Best Experience ever- We rescued a young rambunctious large Cane Corso named Storm. Took her to a vet I have been using for 20+ years- we took her in for a tear on her ear, I told the doc, we needed some ear wash, ( and I would clean her ear out,) shots, bloodwork etc. We get there, she's fine. The tech and she were getting along great. He was sitting on the floor with her playing with her then the Dr. came in- took a look at her and tossed a treat at her. Storm sat back and looked at her. The doctor came over and started grabbing at her head, no introduction So Storm Reacted and swung her head around, did not bite her, the doctor panicked and wanted to Muzzle her. I get it, its for everyone's safety, and Storm is powerful. So we muzzled her. They took her to the back room, restrained her and put a towel over her head. Got her shots, 1 of which I did not want her to have. Then they sent us home with sedatives and instructions to bring her back for a check in two weeks, sedated. And also bring her in randomly to get her used to the office, we did. No problem, This we did. The next visit was not much better- - don't know what they did to her in the back room at the last visit, but Storm would have none of it. Sent us home with more drugs. etc.. They did not charge us for the visit, Shocking, because they always find a way to get money... o wait, they did charge us for the drugs... We decided we wouldn't be returning. We decided to take her someplace where she would not feel threatened. My dog Sitter recommended AMC. We Brought her here, to a Non corporate owned vet, she was fine, no sedating no muzzling nothing.. She was relaxed, not scared and not nervous. We were in the room with her when they took blood, examined her completely, she was great,-panting, but that's it. Dr. Adam Deeke is an amazing Doctor. He was so gentle and kind to her. The whole staff was aware of her size and needs, that's what vets are supposed to do, care for their patients, assess the needs of their patients, respond accordingly. Not like the other place, who branded her a monster, and were almost mean and rude to her and us. Yes, she is a large and formidable creature who could harm you if you approached her aggressively, no lie, she is a freight train with paws, and a heart as big as the world. I am grateful for their respect of her size, and seeing beyond it!!! And am appreciative that they do what they do!!! Love AMC, recommending to all I know!!

After one of my dogs died and was the fault of the vet who employed one person who was responsible. Lost my faith in vets. After searching, found this AMC and went to this establishment. Really down to earth, making sure abt their health, asserting their health records. Answering our questions and leaving us with a sense of relief. Very pleased

We have taken our doxies here since we moved to Itasca in 2016. Dr Potts has been our doctor and when we moved again to Naperville in 2021, we continued to come to Itasca to see Dr Potts for our older Doxie as we did not trust any one else. Dr Potts level or care and concern is best in class and it felt like she shared a connection with both of us and the dog. She always responded quickly to messages and was happy to chat on the phone if we had small questions that didn't warrant a visit. She made renewing prescriptions easy and painless. We had to put our old Doxie down at 18 years with Dr Potts and we are sad that we will no longer be seeing her to take care of our wonderful old man. She is a great doctor and recommend her and the clinic to anyone.

My wife called to try and make an appointment for a new dog we got. She was told "we don't take new dogs". She asked to leave her number in case of any cancellations or something changing and the response she got was "what don't you understand, we don't take new dogs". Rude, horrible people run this place, I'm so glad I'm taking my new dog somewhere else that actually cares about animals (Addison Animal Hospital) and isn't run by rude idiots who clearly hate their life (Animal Medical Center of Itasca). I'm guessing the positive reviews are relatives or friends because one call to this place and you will see what I mean.

They are very good with our 3 dogs. The medical team and their staff is great. We also board them once a year and never had any issues.

We adopted a dog from a rescue group and had to take her in for an appointment covered by the rescue group, so they asked us to come here as they work with them. It was about 35 minutes from our home. Dr. Dave Deeke is wonderful! He is so very kind and knowledgeable. He was calm and explained everything to me. If we were not so far away, we would gladly come to this clinic and see Dr. Dave. The staff was also very friendly as well. I would not hesitate to recommend them.
