I have been coming to this UPS location for a long time now, But the level of disrespect we received today from the male employee ( i think his name is Mike) is unforgivable. My Husband and I walk in, go the register with our amazon packages, and the employee just seems frustrated. He tells us the packages should be completely packed by customer, so I simply say ok do you guys have tape or should I buy one? He goes on a rant which made us feel very uncomfortable, so I tell him wow you must be having a bad day today, and he says yes because im all by myself today. Mind you, we were the only ones in the store. He takes his tape and starts roughly taping our boxes. We finally told him not to worry about it that we were going to another UPS. He still continues to rant about how we should have had our boxes taped. I tell him, all you had to do was nicely tell me to buy tape and I would have bought it. He literally continues ranting, and goes as far as asking me if I knew how to read!!! I couldn’t believe the disrespect. We tell him we hope his day gets better and that we would be leaving a bad review. We are almost by our car and he even comes outside to tell us that before we leave the bad review, if we knew we had to have the package completely packed. I told him I didn’t know, and that again all he had to do was ask me to buy tape. He says its says it all over my return label. He still continues to rant, my husband tells him he should consider getting a new job. And we leave. Im 2 wks postpartum and my hormones must be off the chain. I was so upset and couldn’t stop crying! People in customer service should not treat people like this. I will never come back to this location again. I rather drive a little further to never see his face again.

I think most people get online to give reviews when they are angry, but fewer get on when they're happy. I just want to share my experience at this store:
I'm a regular customer, I've even paid for a personal mailbox at this location. The two staff members cared to learn my name. They are friendly, greet me when I come in, and add that old-school personal touch that one only hears about.
Even when they are very busy (which is often), they are courteous and respectful. I've seen customers come in who didn't follow the return instructions on their labels (some packages require the *customer* to do the packing while others the store does), but the staff don't lose their cool, even when the customer gets angry and sarcastic.
I've seen them bend over backwards to try and help customers figure out their last-minute needs.
I know that I enter and leave this store smiling every single time.
All in all, I'm a loyal customer and will remain so as long as I'm living in the area.

I went on my lunch break to return something I bought on Amazon. There was a problem scanning the QR code off my phone and since the Amazon account is under my husband I don’t get the emails. I texted my husband to forward me the email but he was at work, so who knows when he would have the time to send me the email. Luckily the employee that was helping me had the idea of emailing a copy of the QR code to the store email and scanning the code from there. It worked! Now my package is on its way back to Amazon and I was able to check this off my list of errands.

I recently visited the UPS store located at 6688 Joliet Rd., Indian Head Park IL and was extremely disappointed with the level of service I received. From the moment I entered the store, it was evident that the staff lacked basic courtesy and professionalism.The employee Mike who assisted me was outright disrespectful and rude. He seemed disinterested in helping me and displayed a dismissive attitude towards my inquiries. His tone was condescending and he humiliated me in front of other customers. He laughed in my face that if I want to file a complain , I need to talk to his wife as she is the owner of this store. His attitude to me as a customer was absolutely rude.As someone who values respectful and courteous service, my experience at the UPS store was deeply disappointing.In the future, I will be exploring alternative shipping options to avoid subjecting myself to such disrespectful treatment again. Do not recomend anyone to use this UPS location for their need as long as employee as MIKE works there.

I return packages all the time and have done so at different ups store locations and never experienced the nastiness and clear racial prejudice I just experienced here. I received a package from an app that either had vague or incorrect information on returns apparently and from the moment I walked up to the counter this man had the worst attitude with me and made the assumption that I was looking for a free return. Two white customers before and after me he seemed perfectly fine with but with me he was not only endlessly snarky and rude, but he wouldn’t let it go and then started to taunt me as I gave him an attitude right back and left the store saying “have a good day”. He asked me repeatedly for information I don’t have about the return info with the app I purchased the product from as if I worked for them and know the ins and outs of whatever partnership agreement UPS has with them. When that wasn’t enough he started to raise his voice and make it seem like I had a hard time paying $2.76 for the return. I work in IT sales making more than I guarantee he does and I’m an educated woman. I left the store feeling singled out, targeted and bullied over $2.76. My husband who happens to be white went in and complained and wouldn’t ya know, he got an apology and the man suddenly found his customer service professionalism once more. Turns out he owns the store, his wife who works there looked amused by how he was treating me as well. I can’t imagine why the store has only 3 stars for reviews here and I’m sure the good reviews are related to Caucasian customers. Do not give this man your business!!

An old man with black curly hair was unbelievable rude . I had shoes that needed to be returned that I didn't tape . No greeting and told me to buy a roll of tape because it was so time consuming ..There was nobody in line ...What happened to good customer service !

Says they are open. No one answering for quite a while. Please update your hours if you aren't open on Sunday, or have staff to answer calls, or a mailbox that isn't full.
