My doctor recommended bringing my 17mo to the hospital for labs instead of a quest bc they should be more experienced with babies. It just took 3 women and 5 pokes to draw my daughters blood. Due to her medical history, my daughter has given blood in many different situations, There has never been an issue. The 2 women just said they didn't know what to do, "sorry". The last woman came in and yelled at the other two to leave. She finally gor blood 1st try. This was a ridiculously traumatic experience for both of us.

Easy to find and they took me in right away! Cecilia was the one who helped me and was amazing! She is gentle (drawing blood) and made the entire 3 hour glucose test so pleasant! She also had a small quiet room for me to sit in, and checked on me frequently. She definitely is so kind and reassuring. Thank you for providing excellent care and also being super quick! The 3 hours went by fast!

I’ve visited Northwestern Huntley’s Lab for a few years now. My doctor routinely orders cultures and such due to a medical condition.I typically take an Uber over. The lab is attached to the Urgent Care Center. I’d highly suggest calling the Urgent Care to confirm lab hours. I’ve had them change the hours a few times and not update the website.I usually come via Uber since it’s a simple drop-off. There is no blood needing to be drawn or anything. Every time I come the Uber ends up leaving without me.The staff are nice enough, but the lab is horribly mismanaged and incredibly inefficient. There is always a wait every time I come. It doesn’t matter what day of the week it is or time of day - it’s always the same thing. There’s always at least 5-6 folks waiting in chairs- with another half dozen folks standing in line waiting to be helped. The inefficiency is mind blowing and they don’t seem to value anybody’s time. I’ve even been told, if you don’t like it: go elsewhere.I’ve also had a few totally incorrect results come back. As far as accuracy goes, I question it. If I can visit another NM Lab, I always do. I avoid Huntley if at all possible. They don’t care if your Uber is leaving. They don’t care if you can’t stand for 20 minutes in line.NM has plenty of labs in the suburbs. Pick one. It’ll be better than waiting and dealing with total inefficiency and borderline incompetence. My tip is: If you get back a positive result- get another set of labs done elsewhere. I have had a few issues in terms of accuracy from this lab. When making medical decisions, you cannot have any margin for error. Zero.False positives and negatives carry serious consequences in some cases. They need a full audit of the lab environment and a total retraining of staff. There is no reason dropping off a lab should take an hour. There is no reason for false positives and negatives.I’m hoping it’ll improve for the community as a whole. I’m not the only one standing in line frustrated.

I have been coming here for years and always have had great experiences. Yesterday I needed pretesting for an upcoming surgical procedure. Allison, my EKG technician, was very professional, and went above and beyond to make sure I got all of my tests done as it was a very busy day there because of covid testing.
