If you're a proponent of pinch collars, choke collars and throw chains, then this is the dog training facility for you. The club's philosophy is based on the Koehler method of "correction" training. I suggest you read about Koehler BEFORE signing up for a class so you don't waste your money like I did.I've used positive reinforcement training with three different dogs over 35 years and successfully competed in obedience and agility. In my experience, heavy handed training isn't necessary for most dogs and the majority of situations. I took the class because it was a requirement to become a member and I was looking for a facility to practice agility.

On 06 July 2023, I came up to Cardunal for the rally drop-in with both of my dogs, driving ann hour, and after working for eight hours. I arrived at 18:10, paid $20.00, and checked in and I was told that I would be next to run my first dog. I ran her, went to my car to grab my second dog, came back in and let the lady running the drop-in know that I had my second dog and she told me that I was back at the bottom of the list because I took too long grabbing my second dog. I literally took less than 7 minutes to grab him and didn’t even potty him because I didn’t want anyone waiting on me. I eventually ran my second dog and as soon as I finished, at approximately 18:41, they started licking everything up. Now, I was supposed to get two runs each with each dog and I was only allowed one run with each dog. The lady at the table was rude as hell and grouchy and very disrespectful. I doubt the president of this club will have the courage to address these faults and lack of ethical behavior. I was very clearly ripped off by not being allowed my two runs, but they sure were quick to take my money.

I love this place. I took my 4 month old corgi there for their puppy training class. I had a great time, and Magic immediately loved going there. I just finished the Agility Foundation training class and I'm moving on to Level 1 Agility. The trainer Patti is great. She's very honest with me and that helps make a better handler. She is very patient with me......and Magic. Maybe it's because she has Corgis too, so she gets it. My dog escaped the ring once and Patti yelled "Pembroke on the lose!" Funny.

Went for a dog show. 2 restrooms that are unisex, nicely kept. Get there early for a show parking for disabled is very limited. Can be hard to find if you have never been there before. Go all the way to the back. There is a parking lot and a water retention pond. Nice place to exercise your dog.

I love the flooring for agility. I have 2 fast Border Collies and had no problems with sliding.

They owner (I believe)used my puppy as an example. Before she even had a chance to respond he corrected her and she went flying off the ground yeelping. My poor puppy was so scared. Also I needed to correct my puppy but the lady didn't like the way I did it. She walked over from across the room and corrected her again much harder. Now my puppy is shaking and is probably confused as to what she is being corrected for since there was so much time that had passed and she was in the correct position. There was another excerise that we did and my pup refused to go near her. Let's just say I did not go back!
