My grandparents Wesley and Irma Higginbothan r.i.p owned and operated Wes's 66 a filling station at this location where they also lived their home on site right next to the station and that was my first place of employment. I remember cleaning the lot, pumping gasoline, running money from the station to the house so my granny could make change. Then at the end of the day I would get paid and run directly across the blacktop "st./rd." to the a bar locals/we called "the front" aka as a "tavern" back then. I never went inside I was too young but outside in front was active. Everybody was drinking, smoking, gambling, everybody sitting on car hoods, trunks blaring music and I would be getting fucc'd up right there in the front at "the front". Anyways that was a long time ago 80's and 90's.

Yet another Pembroke business that survives in what may be the poorest area in the US I've ever visited. I'm baffled as to how it exists there, but also amazed they do as professionaly as they do. Bravo Pembroke Citco.

I mean come on you guys seriously we're talking about the Pembroke citgo five stars if I can give it seven or eight or 10 Stars I would......... Only gas station around that you can go in and ask for a"kit"and get one and not get thrown out LOL????
