Aisles are so narrow it's hard for two carts to pass. Stocking shelves during prime shipping hours with large palettes blocking aisles doesn't help.

Love this Jewel always stocked friendly and helpful. Kudos to the management and associates. I like to thank Mrs Jackie for helping me download the Jewel-Osco app to get me extra saving. Also thx Mrs Alice for always having a beautiful smile and being helpful. Mrs Gina at the customer service desk who patiently helped a gen z with an application ?.. and giving others great customer service..again kudos. **Also do away with the self scan just open up extra lines when busy. Too much theft (cheaper to hire cashier) which causes prices too increase.**

At the self check out I assisted my 74 year old mother. I helped her swipe her groceries and watched her pay her own bill with her debit card. Teaching her how to stay young and independent has been a challenge these days. She also asked me to come to the register with her. Now my cart, filled with less than 10 items was next to her. Why take up two registers when I have to pay for my own items anyway. A young man working in the self check out section stated "they not gonna let you pay like that when it's two carts at the register". WHO IS THEY? Is this a new rule? My mother has been shopping at Jewel since I was born. Jewel is her favorite store. If my mother needs assistance, I am going to help her ANY WHERE and ANY TIME. Now it's not that young man's fault, he was just doing his job, but please stop ruining my shopping experiences with the pettiness and be a little more sensitive with the elderly.

It's a great grocery store with a great location. However I am challenged that during the sales, the items are rarely on the shelf. The produce is looking worse and worse. It's as if they're putting the old stuff out for us and expecting us to buy it. This is at the location in Homewood Illinois on Halsted. Often, I stopped at the store in Downers Grove IL on my way home from work. I never see bad produce at this store and their shelves are stocked with sale items.

I always tell people this is the best Jewel but today ruined it for me. I came to the deli around 3:40pm to get some Greek pasta salad to go. There was one lady in front of me who was being helped. The older lady behind the counter finished helping her, looked at me and then proceeded walk off and talk to the other people behind the counter and they all just stood there and laughed. I then waited 5 minutes and a younger shorter gentleman came to help me, saw what happened and apologized for them making me wait for no reason. Beyond rude of the lady. Very disappointing

I really only shop here for the flowers. I got tulips early last week and when I came home, there was mold all over the stems. So I came back and got a new batch cause flowers get mold, it happens. However, the new flowers died within 3 days because they ALSO had mold in them just less than the others. Their flowers usually last me a week and a half. Not happy

I usually only shop this location for emergencies. I have done pick up and go twice and both times it was an absolute mess. They were out of items I ordered with no backup and I never got my money back . Contacted customer service and never got a response. So disappointed considering how expensive everything is these days

On February 19, 2024, I encountered extremely poor customer service at the Jewel-Osco in Homewood, IL, which significantly impacted my special needs son and me. After discovering the salmon I purchased earlier that day was spoiled, I returned to the store for a refund. While the deli manager did acknowledge the spoiled salmon after reviewing my receipt, his approach to customer service was deeply disappointing. He mentioned he was 24 and leaving the job in 2 weeks, and shockingly suggested that if I was dissatisfied with their spoiled meat, I should shop elsewhere. This incident was not isolated; I've experienced similar issues with spoiled products from this store before. The situation unnecessarily escalated, causing distress to my son who started stimming amidst the chaos. This experience highlights a recurring problem with food quality and a significant lack of empathy and professionalism in handling customer concerns at this location. Such treatment, especially towards customers with special needs, is unacceptable and reflects poorly on Jewel-Osco's commitment to customer service and quality standards. EDIT I was told to connect on-line however, the phone numbers do not work.
