Our Aunt has been in Victorian Village since early January 2023! We can’t say enough about our experience! The staff is wonderful! Tammy at the front desk is amazing, always happy and ready to help! Wendy is the nurse and she is so kind and patient. She is also very easy to reach if we have a question! Debbie DeMaar has gone above and beyond to help us with everything we need! She is very knowledgeable and always helpful. She always makes us all laugh! Yvonne is our Aunt’s campus care giver is fabulous! She is so full of energy and always smiling. The meals have been delicious and plentiful. We are very grateful for everyone who has made this transition so easy and smooth. We highly recommend The Victorian Village to everyone! Thank you to all of the employees and volunteers!

My aunt has been living here since January 2023. She started in memory care and moved on to assisted living for a brief period and is currently in independent living. I can not say enough good things about Victorian Village. All of the staff has been so helpful. They have really been instrumental in helping my aunt to get to where she is today. Debbie DeMaar has been wonderful. Wendy is fantastic. Tammy is always very helpful. All of the campus care folks are so amazing too. I gave it a five star rating because there weren’t any more stars to give. Thank you to all of you for your kindness and compassion that you give each day. God Bless all of your staff.

As a Victorian Village employee for the past five years, it has been a pleasure to work for the company. I began working here as a CNA, and it was one of my best CNA jobs. Due to the great opportunities provided here, I have progressed in this company. A positive aspect of the facility was the patient ratio. As a team, we work well together. Every day, we strive to go above and beyond the needs of our residents.

My father has been in the memory care unit for 3 1/2 years and hasn't complained yet. He loves the staff. I love the staff. They have a very difficult job but manage to do excel at it while all the time being helpful and professional.

This facility does NOT deserve even ONE star. The (non)care our Father received on their "memory care" floor was disgraceful. The staff turnover is constant. Week to week, I barely recognized any of the employees. They pull lazy fill-ins from agencies that do not know the residents on any level or how to care from them. Nor do they have any desire to do any of the work. They spend more time on their personal phones than they do taking care of the residents. Our Dad lost weight in this facility, he has fallen without any notification to us, he would sit in unchanged clothes and Depends, and we found his medication hidden inside his garbage can and his pills underneath his recliner. This happened because they did not watch him take his medication. The quality of care is definitely NOT worth the price they charge. UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCE, DO NOT PUT YOUR LOVED ONE IN THIS FACILITY.

Beware. Not worthy of 1 star. I was called for a survey after my mother’s discharge. I documented unacceptable incident after unacceptable incident. VV response. My mother was barred from any Providence Facility. Sadly, my mom passed away shortly after. Please do not comment below how you care deeply for your patients because that was far from our experience. Each incident I notified staff and supervisors. No change in our loved ones care. From admission to discharge zero stars for VV.

Our Mom loved being at this facility. However, based on what happened to our Mom, I would be very careful before putting a loved one in this facility. If your loved one has any real or serious medical issues, my opinion is go somewhere better. The Dr. and nurse were completely negligent with our Mother in my opinion. They failed to recognize and did not respond appropriately during a life- threatening situation. If you have had a similar experience, IDPH and IDFPR take complaints against Drs. and nurses. Our Mom deserved better than that Dr. and nurses.

There were so many amazing people working at Victoroam Village, but the negligence of the Dr. and 2 nurses nearly killed our Mom. They completely failed to respond appropriately to a life and death situation. It's completely unacceptable. I would never recommend Victorian Village because of the Dr., head nurse, and NEGLIGENCE.

Please do your research when putting a member of your family in here. Covid scares every week...my sister has an nephrostomy tube in her before she got there from Palos hospital...the physical rehab was horrible. Dane gave up on her and was reassigned another therapist. They are short on nursing staff and communication was horrible. Have temp nurses to fill in...horrible and sad situation. Please check around before you waste your time w this facility. Had my sister moved to another facility where she is getting much better care.

No thanks to their lousy care, my husband’s life will never be the same. He was there for rehab after spinal surgery, he’s also a heart patient & diabetic, they were suppose to watch his INR levels, which they did not he therefore developed a large hematoma on his spine causing more damage and more surgery plus because they had one nurse taking care of 20 patients on the second floor where he was, also the doctors in the ER told us it appeared to them his bandages had not been changed in days, I wouldn’t recommend them to anyone ,here’s another thing, a supervisor called when he had first arrived & told me they would answer all my questions about his care, well that was a lie also because when I called I got the run around, Covid had hit so I was never allowed to ever see my husband or enter the facility, my husband was there in August of 2020

This place is close to getting a lawsuit slapped on them. My mother is in there after triple bypass for “rehab”. Since she’s arrived (48 hours ago). She’s been out of bed twice. Waits for hours when she calls someone. They forget her medicine and not giving ALL of them I found out like oh you know the blood thinner. Also they’ve forgot to feed her twice. They claim short staff. Then stop taking in patients. I’m consulting with a lawyer on Monday. An open heart patient can’t lay in bed! She’s also not getting 2 hours of physical therapy as stated. If they consider laying in bed 46 hours out of 48 then they should be allowed to operate. Do NOT send someone here!!!!!
