I registered my child for the Kids Workshop held yesterday, March 4, 2023. My husband and daughter got there at 11:00 am (one hour before the workshop ended), only to be told that they had run out of kits. They also told my husband that they ran out of kits around 10:30 am. I don't know if they were giving them out to walk-ins, but there appeared to be some breakdown in inventory control. I understand that this is an event that is open to the public and there will be people who register who don't come, but I would think that if there is a cutoff to release kits for people who have registered, it should be noted when registering (and/or in the confirmation email), and it should be no earlier than 30 minutes before the end of the event. Maybe it is mentioned online, but I didn't see anything in my confirmation email. We later visited 2 more Home Depot stores to see if they had any left, and they did not. Unfortunately, the kit is currently unvailable online. I don't understand the purpose of registering if they are going to run out of the inventory. In the past, we registered at a different Home Depot, and they weren't allowing walk-ins at that time. (Just a side note, arriving earlier was not an option as we currently volunteer earlier on Saturday mornings.)

Every time I go in there, I have the worst experience with the store manager. Quite a few of the employees don't have answers to some of the questions. It's not their fault. It's just the nature of the beast, but when she enters the conversation or has to do her job and it almost feels as if I did something wrong. She's got one of the worst attitudes for a manager that I have experienced. It's easy to say that we spend tens of thousands of dollars there every year but I'm thinking of taking my money elsewhere, or at least not to that Home Depot.I'm pretty sure it's because the way I look because I've experienced watching her deal with other customers with a smile but when it comes to someone that looks like me, it's almost as if we are a bother to her. Shout out to those managers that treat people with some decency, and that manager Diamond at the Joliet Home Depot. She's so nice and easy to work with. I recommend going out to the Joliet Home Depot and try not to go to the Homer, Glen Home Depot. After 17 years of going to this Home Depot, I can't believe they hired a manager with this much anger and disgust at doing her job and when it comes to interacting with certain people. You know who you are manager just take a step back and try to be respectful and nice to your customers no matter who they are.

Too many problems! I've ordered custom doors three times from this place and the first time they ordered the wrong door, the second time, they mismeasured. Just got off the phone with them about the door I ordered and paid for in AUGUST and now they've got the wrong sized door jamb in. They have been here THREE TIMES to measure the opening. This is a builder grade door I'm replacing and they can't seem to get it right! So here I am with a permit and no door in the forseeable future.

Ordered a new KitchenAid dishwasher from Home Depot in Homer Glen, IL. The salesperson was very helpful and professional. I was scheduled for the installation on December 4th. Got a call from the installation company the day before that said they would be here between 11:30am - 3:30pm. At 9:30am I get a call telling me they are almost at the door. I ask them to wait 15 minutes so I can clear out under the sink. They said no, either they come now or they leave. ::sigh::: okay...fine. They come in, look at the dishwasher and tell me it can't be installed because there is a 6 inch cabinet for cookie sheets between the sink & dishwasher. I told them I informed the salesman of this and he said it was fine. There was already a hole drilled where the hose went anyway. Offered to show them, they said no and called for another installation date, Dec 13th. When I called HD to ask why a 6 inch cabinet was a special install, they said they could fit me in on the 9th. Email this morning (Dec 6) said my install was moved back to the 13th, because they couldn't get my appliance to their warehouse. I called the installation number and said the appliance was in my garage, so it shouldn't be a problem. After being on hold for a few, a woman came back on the line and said it had to be the 13th because of the "LAZY SUSAN" they had to work around to connect the dishwasher. How a 6 inch cabinet became a lazy susan is beyond me. Somebody is telling tall tales and it isn't me. I am beyond frustrated. I like(d) Home Depot, but this sure sours my opinion. C. Horwath

Had to return 4 times to do a simple faucet replacement . All hoses were missing parts and the faucet itself leaked like a sieve when installed. Ended up returning everything and going to Ace which was perfect. When you ask for something the guy in plumbing just points to aisle, can't answer questions and doesn't seem to know anything about the products. Its really hard to find someone to help you here. Clearly, they need more help and some people who have a basic understanding of products. Everyone is not a contractor, sometimes people need a little help and advice. It would be nice if they were able to assist the average person doing basic home repair and also not to put returned items back on shelf so another person buys defective products. Exasperating experience.

I purchased a new washing machine less than a month ago. It is loaded with sensors and sofware as most new appliances causing less efficiency. Had trouble with getting it started and called to talk to an appliance person to walk through the sequence that might be affecting this issue. The woman at the front desk patently said there is no one who knows anything about their appliances, they just sell them and go call GE. I called 2 more times and got full mailboxes. Once they have your money, you are dead to them. I did call GE and was passed around like tomorrows snack plate. We are living in a Third World country. Go Amazon!

I posted this because I hoped a rate your experience would pop up So I guess I have to post here! I have never had a good experience at HD in Homer , you may say why shop at HD? Well the material I needed was only available there. They are rude and avoid eye contact so as not to assist you. Waited over an hour for an associate to finish with a customer, asked another employee how we could get help the answer “ you just have to wait” WHAAAT!?!? Found a manager and viola some

I guess if everything is good than the store is great. True customer service comes out when there is a problem. So which comes first the chicken or the egg. We had to purchase appliances before they could order the cabinets so they knew the size of appliances. The appliances sat in my living room waiting for the install date. We were told the week of July 27th. That's how you can improve your customer service. You should have a spot to add the install date. So today they plug

It took 7 months for the Homer Glen Home Depot to install a 800 sq ft vinyl floor and 2 sets of 5 stairs. Not only did it take 7 months, they never completed the job. You would think they'd be embarrassed and apologetic, it's business as usual for them folks. On top of that Home Depot was so kind to tell me they would compensate me for my trouble. Only to be totally ignored when it came time to compensate me. Which I was Super reasonable about. Now I'm taking them to court and it will surely hurt more than what I asked for. Hi Highly recommend not to do Any jobs with them. I will never spend another $ there and I'll be sure to inform everyone I know of same. They are a praying on people like other big corporations, we HAVE TO STOP THIS KIND OF 'CUSTOMER SERVICE'.

Worst store in the country. Always wait in line to get no answer. No one knows anything and your stock is always low. This place sucks

I normally really like this store today I was very irritated. Many of the Home Depot employees were wearing masks, since it is a state requirement. However at least 6 employees either did not have a mask at all or was wearing it around their neck. Some of these same employees were even working within 6 feet of customers. I understand this is an inconvenience however it would be great if we could stop the spread and stop putting our front line leaders lives on the line and get everyone back to work. If Home Depot would like pictures I have several.

Johnathan at the returns/service desk was extremely rude and arrogant. I will never shop in Home Depot in Homer Glen again. I suggest all other contractors take their business elsewhere too. Very disappointed and dissatisfied with I store I used to frequent. Avoid this store.

Horrible experience at this store. We purchased a new front door w/ installation, The problem is that the color was wrong. They were sorry and were willing to fix it by reordering a new door with the correct color. When the second door came in, it was the same color as the first so of course we denied it. They offered to to reorder once more, which they did and exactly in that same color. Now Home Depot did check the color of the door that they first installed to the color that we were looking for and AGREED that it was not the same color. They told Jeld-Wen the same thing. after that they started to come up with excuses that it was different lighting an that the door we have seen in the store was there for 10 plus years and the stain must have faded. when we asked to see the display door again, it was removed from the store (how convenient). I am asking for a refund and they are refusing. Horrible experience with this store. Here is what we have gone through. Good Afternoon Mr. Gacek: The communication that I am receiving states that: The door has been ordered several times First door ordered Jan 2nd. Recieved it Feb 1st and installed Feb 15th. The color was to be Milk Chocolate and customer claims it is to dark Feb 15th claim put in with Jeld-Wen Claim # SR-407549 Feb 18th customer came in with pic of old display that had faded and it dose not match the door that was installed Feb 28 Jeld-Wen agreed to replace door and door was ordered 2nd on 3-2 Mar. 29th Jeld Wen did not put door in production 28 days for new door to come in May 10th new door is at store May 14th Customer in to inspect and the door is still to dark. Possible issue with Dye lots with the stain May 27th 3 rd door ordered June 19th 3rd door at the store June 21st Customer rejects 3rd door due to color Today is December 18th and i get a call stating they can give me a refund but i have to schedule a date for them to come and remove the door from our house.

Great customer service, you can always find someone to help and go out of their way, especially compared to Orland Park, where quality customer service is minimal
