I wish I could adopt every animal there! The staff allows you to walk and play with the dogs in the yard so that you can have some time alone with them to see how they interact with you. I have adopted 2 cats from there over the years and will choose TLC in the future to adopt again when I'm ready and able to have another pet.

i do not recommend this shelter. we placed our 9 year old dog w/ them on 3/21/24 - she was allegedly adopted this past easter weekend. i don't trust this information because they post pics of everyone who gets adopted - i am not bothered by a new pet parent not wanting to have a picture posted to social media - i get that. but if you look at their website our dog just "disappeared" - no note under her picture saying "pending adoption", or "adopted". just gone. her original listing is not there at all. i would be willing to bet this place is a puppy mill, and they likely euthanized my dog to make room for all the puppies that came in easter weekend. she was not ill, injured, harmful to children/adults, nor aggressive, etc. she was 9, and still had some good years left.

My mom and my brother adopted my dog Wyatt for me when he was 3 and previously abused. Tender Loving Care Animal Shelter took in my dog Wyatt and others in 2020 from a Kentucky Kill shelter. My dog is now estimated to be 7 years old, I have had him for the best 4 years of my life, and he is my best friend. Thank you TLC!

Dennis was amazing with the adoption of my kitten. They are knowledgeable and kind to customers and the animals. They put the animals welfare as a top priority and are available to help with any circumstances that occur.

I like this place because they let you actually see and interact with the animals. Take the dogs out for a walk and be able to play with them. Also, they have a room for you to play and interact with the cats as well. Staff is super friendly and keep the place clean. Animals are well looked after.

I have been bringing babies here probably since 83 I just gave up a sweet nice beautiful pup and in3 days they found her a home matched in heaven. When you go in watch the people with the babies running around and you'll immediately feel comfortable and know you are at the right place.
