We use to go to C.M.A.H. many years ago but we stopped going due to higher prices and people not really caring it's all about the money for them, maybe new management. We just got a new puppy and I was curious about their pricing. I called for a quick question as to a rough estimate of spaying a dog and teeth cleaning nothing accurate just a close estimate. I didn't want to waste their time or my own. In order to even get a price you must bring the dog in and get charged for an office visit even though my dog doesnt need an examination, just to find out a price, and so they can get another couple of visits in!
What is there to see? Is a girl dog, and dirty teeth! Nothing changes with these people they just want your cash. All that b.s. on their website; "give us a call so we can discuss treatment options' is a total joke! I remember once asking why my dog was scratching her ear.? They took a quick 2 minute peek and charged $40.
I would not recommend going to this place with your pets unless you want to get charged a lot of money for nothing. When something seriously goes wrong with your older pet they can't help you anyway. This is not like the TV vets, they're not even in the same league. They're the first to tell you put the dog down his old.

Dr Dave is the best ,he takes his time and explains everything clearly . He clearly demonstrates his dedication to your pets well being as his number one concern. I have complete confidence in his care. We are fortunate to have such a dedicated and talented veterinary medicine practitioner in our area

If you love your pets, PLEASE DONT BRING THEM HERE!! Our family cat was brought in for an ear infection. She was given ear drops for DOGS which the veterinarian got into her eye! Now her eye that got the ear drops in is dying and sinking into her head. We have to get it amputated to save her life. When we brought up that she was having eye trouble hours after her appointment, we were told to bring her in to be seen. The vet said she must've poked her eye during transport into the carrier and that she didn't look like that when she left, not knowing I had the proof of that they used the wrong ear drops on her already from the invoice they handed me earlier. They then proceeded to tell my mother to put our cat of 14 years down because "there's nothing they could do". Throughout this horrible ordeal, they were extremely rude and patronizing and showed no compassion, empathy or respect. Please don't bring your pets here, our cat is suffering and we are paying exorbitant veterinarian costs for her surgery now.

You are better off googling your pets condition and providing care at home than bringing them here. We recently moved to the area and there are not a lot of options for rabbit vets around here. When I called in, I explained the situation with my rabbit and the receptionist said they would try their best. The vet David Ihrke completely lacked empathy and frankly was incompetent. He should not be practicing. His guess to what was wrong with my 11 year old bunny was worse than mine. "He is old and will be dead in 48 hours." He refused to do blood work, culture swabs, etc. His only suggestion was X-rays to see what was wrong with his legs. I suggest David read up on "floppy bunny syndrome," which is an acute, sudden neurological condition which impacts a rabbits ability to move-in case he sees another patient with such a condition rather than chalking it up to age. It is incredibly upsetting when you try to seek help for a family member who has been with you a third of your life and the person who you are paying to help does a 5 minute visual inspection, refuses to run any tests other than X-ray and coldly tells you your family member will die in the next 48 hours-it's actually beyond upsetting. I paid $168.50 for this practice to do nothing but tell me my pet is going to die and give me two unlabeled bottles of the smallest amount of medication I've ever received for him. I have been to many vets with this rabbit over his 11 years and never seen anything like this. I write this review in hopes no one else experiences this nightmare and please take your pets somewhere else.

We took our dog McKenna ( age 1 year & 4 months old )on March 11, 2024 to be spayed. On June 6th 2023 she had a balloon valve procedure for pulmonic stenosis. Blood tests & an ekg were performed before her procedure to make sure she was able to endure this procedure. At 3pm the office called and said she was doing great & she couldn't wait to come home. At our scheduled pick up time after 6 pm a vet tech (Alexis) came in and handed us a limp, & lifeless dog. Following Alexis, Dr. David Ihrke D.V.M. came in & said he didn't like the way McKenna looks. Dr. Ihrke said she was pale & that they were unable to get her temperature regulated. He said he wasn't sure if this had any relation to her heart procedure. Dr. Ihrke said we could take her home and take your chances or leave her here where no one would be overnight to care for her or bring her to a E.R. clinic where he believed the outcome would not be good. He then proceeded to leave the room. The vet tech finished the visit with us. We contemplated going to the E.R. throughout the evening & luckily McKenna survived the night. Alexis called us in the a.m for a status on McKenna. We told her we could not believe how cold & callous the doctor treated us. Alexis apologized for his unprofessionalism. We never had a follow phone call from this Veterinarian. We will be bringing McKenna to a new Veterinarian. Brian & Nancy H.

If there are other doctors available, see them instead of Dr. David Ihrke. Dr. Ihrke incompetently attended our dog and lacked empathy. He kept guessing what was wrong with our puppy and wouldn't give a definitive answer. He made a mistake with reading the x-ray, saying they were gases when they were worms. Even though he knew they were worms before we did and prescribed medicine for our puppy, he only told us about the diarrhea prescription, not the worms one. The nurse was the one who explained the prescription for the worms, so thank you to the nurse. Even though he said it could be a parvo virus, a family member was the one who asked the doctor for the parvo exam. After he asked for the exam, the doctor said, "hopefully it's just worms so you could move on with your lives." Furthermore, when we asked for a test, he said it's expensive. When we asked how much is it, he said $200.. Even though HE said it could be parvo, WE were the ones who called for a follow-up of the results. And it turned out our puppy did have parvo. Thankfully she recovered.

This used to be my go to vet and I’m so disappointed with their care since Dr. Weber left. I’ve had 3 strikes with them and I likely won’t bring my pets back for anything but to pick up my dog’s meds. My oldest dog has had issues with drinking excessive water and peeing on the floor for months. When I brought him in for the second time to address this, right after our favorite doctor, Dr. Weber left, the vet we saw said it’s likely a behavioral issue. I can’t understand how my dog lapping up several bowls of water a day would be a behavioral issue. He’s not even marking where he goes- he’s peeing in his tracks because he can’t hold it, and I wouldn’t be able to either if I drank so much water. I am worried about diabetes and evidently nobody thought to test for this on the multiple occasions I brought him in for this specifically so I will have to go elsewhere and spend more money. I then recently took one of my other dogs in that had never been here before because he had injured his back. The vet wanted to do a senior panel of blood work which ended up costing nearly $300, it was more than his X-rays. This was well over a month ago now- I keep calling trying to find out what the results of the blood work were and keep getting told I’ll be called back by a vet about it, but it never happens. The last incident was when I picked up my dog’s heart medication which is nearly $200 for less than a month supply and when I walked out, the bottle felt light. These pills are BIG. I decided to open the bottle before I left to go home and it only had 11 pills in it when there were supposed to be 50. I went back in, the front desk staff was super nice about it and they replaced it with a full bottle but I’m really not sure I would’ve been so lucky if I hadn’t noticed until I got home before the weekend where they’re closed for two days. I count my dog’s pills now. I am disappointed with these experiences and feel I have thrown away hundreds of dollars for nothing at a time where we’re all struggling through economic issues. I just want to make it clear VSMR was great to us when my littlest did PT and the front desk staff has always been great as well. I think the vets need work.

Everyone at Colonial Manor are wonderful. They are very caring and the doctors take the time to explain the care provided.
