Christy is an incredible trainer and horse woman! She is immensly knowledgeable—I have learned so much from her on the ground and in the saddle. This farm is incredible. Christy is a FANTASTIC trainer with a finely trained eye. Her minute observations often lead to massive breakthroughs in riding ability and connection with the horse. She has a handful of seasoned lesson horses and she emphasizes clear communication, empathy, and understanding between horse and rider. She teaches all levels of riding with some students having gone on to compete at the highest level of their discipline. Her instruction simply cannot be beat! And her love for the animals shown, with almost all of her horses rescues and many living out their days retired.Boarding observations: The stalls are cleaned daily with several-inch-deep bedding replaced regularly. Horses are fed tailored diets and the owner personally administers medications to horses that need them. Hay is thrown several times a day and soaked hay cubes are provided upon request as a third meal per day in addition to two grain feedings. Horses are turned out daily in roomy lots with buddies. The arena is maintained meticulously: droppings are picked up immediately and the footing is dragged regularly. Not to mention the giant field in the back complete with cross country jumps in addition to the mini field in the front! All of this for an extremely reasonable price. The level of care just cannot be beat for the price.

My daughter has been a student there for several years. She has improved her riding a great deal and taught her so much about the care of animals. I highly recommend this farm as an honest and ethical home for horses that encourages students in the most important fundamentals of horsemanship.

Christy was amazing with my son! He’s new to horses and riding and she was patient, kind and worked so well with him. Her knowledge, concern and overall character is a pleasure to be around and I would recommend her to anyone, especially those with children learning to ride! Looking forward to many more wonderful learning opportunities and experiences!

if you want top notch care and a friendly environment, this barn is great. The owner, on site, has a ton of knowledge and cares for the horses as if they are her own.

Just want to reiterate everything said by the previous reviewer. Christy is a fantastic woman and a true horsewoman. She truly loves every horse in her barn, and it shows- she has the oldest horses I have ever met. The barn is clean, Christy's instruction is impeccable, the horses are extremely well looked-after, and the atmosphere is wonderful. It is my favorite barn I have ever been at and my days there this year have been true highlights.
