Save your money this place is overrated overpriced and we have found the people there to be dishonest and rude but they'll take your money with a smile on their face and then Mrs. Bankston runs to their Bankston bank account and fattens it up beyond imagination and watch out for the mosquitoes that Carry disease and that place can be loaded with them during certain times bring plenty of bug spray and cover up exposed skin

This year I decided to visit a pumpkin patch with my kids. I have a teen and tween and I wanted a place where they would both have fun. Did a lot of research since there are so many options during the fall. I decided on Bengtson's. We had been there 8 years prior but the day we went it was later in the day and it was cold. Plus my daughter was little and we did not stay long. Fast forward 8 years and we decided getting there first thing in the morning on a sunny and mild fall day. We got there early enough so we got a great parking space and there were no lines to get on the rides. This place is massive. Be prepared to walk. Lots of things to do. Petting zoo, mini haunted house, rides, pig races, great photo ops and you must get your picture taken at the photo stand for a great keepsake. The food options were also pretty good. I had an elote cup with steak and my kids had food from the BBQ place. We had churros and donuts for dessert. I indulged and also visited their bar. Yes, they not only have a coffee stand but they also have a BAR.!! The admission can get a bit pricey for a big family but in my opinion it is totally worth it. Will make it a point to go back next season.

We've been going here for over 25 years and it has exploded in popularity. It always was a fun place to bring the family around Halloween: choosing pumpkins and going in the little scare house. It was basically just a little seasonal stop for kids and families. As it grew, busloads of children would come from the area schools; and that even got bigger as they expanded the offerings, put in some rides, and really made it a destination stop. Today it is a pay-to-enter kind of event, but well worth the money. You can walk around, enjoy the scenery during Fall, buy some pumpkins picking them out yourself at a number of locations, and hop on some carnival rides for the kids. This place is kid friendly: strollers welcome as well as little walkers. Lots to do for the family, and really a must see kind of place during the Halloween season. Wear outdoor shoes because sometimes the weather makes for mushy ground. Comes with a very large parking area in the fields on both sides of the street. Come prepared to walk. Recommended.

Not sure how this place has less than 5 stars. One of the best farms/pumpkin patches I have ever been to. Large, well designed and lots of rides/activities can easily spend hours. Better for smaller kids 8 and under

My kids absolutely look forward to this place every year. Great location and friendly atmosphere. Food, animals, rides, they have it all. We went Thursday at 3pm after it finished raining for the day and the parking lot was surprisingly pretty dry with minimal amounts of mud due to the absolutely awesome job they did of laying rock down. We’ve been coming here with our twins since they were infants, and they’ll turn 5 next month. We already are looking forward to returning again next year. I also like that it’s a cashless event, much more streamlined that way.

My very first pumpkin patch. I was grateful we arrived early because the weather was cooperative at first. We definitely took advantage of everything they have to offer. My 5 year old enjoyed all the rides. The staff is super friendly. I definitely enjoyed the pig races. We probably bought the biggest pumpkin there. I look forward to returning in future years to come especially since it was my 1st time getting to carve a pumpkin. We also received a free family photo. The place is great! Let the pics speak for themselves.

Super cute spot. I would compare it to a patch version of Six Flags. I wish it had rides for adults of all sizes, it was more like a kid zone vibe. Super huge, feels like you’re walking for ages. The animals were fun to feed and pet (alpacas, llamas, sheep’s, cows, pigs, etc). They show off a pig race as well, super cute and slightly interactive. I drove all the way from the city, and I would definitely go again.

Bengtson’s Pumpkin Farm is the very best Fall seasonal farm, not only in all of Chicagoland, but in all of Illinois! Our entire group consisted of adults and kids, and we had the best time here! What will stand out amongst so many things is that this family friendly farm is so beautiful and very clean. The design and artistry and use of antiques give it a fun, yesteryear, kind of feel. Bengtson’s is very much also In a sense a mini theme park and the rides are really fun and there’s so many fun attractions and activities for the kids to enjoy.Additionally, the petting zoo was awesome and adults and kids loved it!There is a Multiplicity of delicious food options at Bengtson’s which is unrivaled from any other Falltime farm. And the prices are very fair for the portion size you get. There is AMAZING barbecue options, chili, burgers, tacos, and other options that you would expect to enjoy. For Adulting outings, alcohol is once again being served at Bengtson’s. I didn’t take a picture, but I think it was called the Tipsy Cow where you get to choose from hard cider, beer, and a couple other options. The apple cider donuts in the apple cider were really delicious AND surprisingly to me the kettle corn was more innovative and delicious than any I’ve ever had. This is a very family friendly place and definitely patriotic, and everyone who works here is respectful and a great example of how people work with integrity to bring so much joy to others. They also had separate gender specific Porta Pottys, blue for the males and pink for the females.Oh, the pig races were hilarious and what a good time! The MC did a great job!Bengtson’s is cashless and only takes credit / debit cards.Bengtson’s gets a five out of five stars. We cannot wait to go back again!M

A good pumpkin patch. Tickets you buy online. No cash. Mining was super cute but extra, credit card only. Lots of rides and activities for kids. Our only disappointment is the hay ride, you are not in the field not even sure if they grow pumpkins there. Field looks used for giant parking area. You will not be bored!

What a great place to bring your family! The park was super clean and the grounds were vast. Initially I thought the price was high, especially for kids over 2 years old but after going and spending the day there the price was well worth it. Parking is free and once in the park all the rides are included with the price of admission. My grand children are 2, 3 and 11 and there were so many rides and exhibits to entertain them as well as the petting zoo and the hay ride. We all thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and will definitely be going back next year.. It definitely topped my pumpkin patch my prior pumpkin patch experiences.

Bengtson's is currently my favorite Pumpkin patch. We went the Sunday before Halloween on a dreary muddy day. I'm not sure if this was why but the place WAS NOT busy. The entrance fee was a bit expensive around $30 per person but this includes unlimited rides. My son is 2 and was able to ride a few things with an adult and he had a great time on the train and tractor. We never waited over 5 minutes for a ride. There was a corn pit he absolutely loved playing in and lots of decorations for him to ohhhh and awe over. Four hours went by in a flash. There was lots of food vendors but we did not try the food. They had pavilions with picnic tables and a folk artist playing though so you could purchase your food and have a place to sit and enjoy chill music. We loved it and will be back next year!

Our family favorite pumpkin farm for the past 10 years! We make it priority to go each and every year. They have the most to offer and cost is affordable!! Great food options for everyone. And the yummiest cider doughnuts! Even when it's crowded it's so fun!!

This was the best pumpkin patch around Chicagoland. This place had plenty of rides to choose from, especially the barnyard dance coaster. The lines weren't very long except for the barnyard dance ride. But i would definitely come back again. Would recommend 10/10.

So much fun for families, a lot for children to do and see. Fun for friends, on a date, teenagers, anyone. Rides, food, drinks and hot chocolate, great general store, pig races, enormous corn pit (think ball pit, but its corn :) for the kids to play in. One of the must do things for the season. Highly recommend!
