Alexian Brothers Behavioral Health Hospital is one of the best psychiatric hospitals in Illinois. The staff really do care about your well-being. I have come here when I’ve needed to be admitted inpatient or when I’ve needed to do a PHP/IOP program. I recently just graduated from the Adult PHP program on March 18th. Making the decision to want to get the help can be emotionally draining. The staff of ABBHH are kind, caring, loyal, honest, and they want to do everything they can to keep you safe.

Just received a call from them this morning at 6:00am stating that my mother was Covid positive. Then received a call 2 hours later from the social worker Tony staring that my mother was ready for discharge . I told him she needed to stay there until she tested negative. He told me she couldn't stay there because her insurance would not cover it. I told him I didn't feel comfortable as it would be an unsafe situation for my family which includes my small grandchildren. He did not care one bit. The next call I received was from the finance office that basically reiterated the same thing Tony said. No care, no concern, no nothing. My mother caught Civil there and now they want to risk the lives of my family and the people we come in contact with. The lack of care, concern, and compassion is alarming. I am so disappointed in this hospital. They just don't care about people. The only concern they have is money. I will be contacting the state and a good attorney if the situation is not resolved in a safe manner for all involved.

So very grateful for AMITA Health Alexian Brothers Behavioral Health Hospital and the Center for Eating Disorders. Dr. Lacey Lemke and her team go above and beyond to provide the very best care. I felt seen and heard and known which helped me regain strength and confidence and take the power back. The therapists, dietitians, doctors, nurses, and psychiatrists all care so deeply and put their patients first. They meet you where you are, get you the support you need, and help you get to where you want to be. This is not an easy journey but they made me feel less alone. I would highly recommend this program to anyone who is feeling stuck, hopeless, and/or struggling with an eating disorder. Thanks to the Center for Eating Disorders, I am well on my way to living a full life.
