Dr. Rykoff is fantastic. Outstanding, honest and caring Dr. We have had her care for our animals, from horses, dogs and cats for over 30 yrs. She is truly a special person and Dr.

Fabulous vet! Plenty of experience, knowledge and a truly caring vet! We had puppies (10 ?) and Dr Rykoff made a house visit for puppy shots and wellness check. Saved my sanity for sure!!

I have been working mostly with Jose and our new dog who has hip issues. The water therapy seems to be helping her and Jose is always so kind. You can tell he has a deep love for animals and their welfare. Dr Rykoff is a wonderful vet, we are on our second dog with her and she is very loving towards our animals.

Dr Rykoff is an amazing vet. Have been seeing her for over a decade with our dogs.

Dr. Rykoff is an excellent vet. She is exceptionally competent and seeks to resolve pet health issues in a pragmatic, but compassionate way. Services are fairly priced and she incorporates (what I would consider) more non-traditional (holistic, I guess?) treatments along with traditional methods which have yielded positive results.I have a highly pedigreed working dog and often feel like other vets just see dollars signs when I bring him in for care, but that is not the case with her.I have seen several complaints about responsiveness, but I have not had this issue with her and have found her (and her office staff) to be flexible and accommodating.

I love taking my pets here. She saved my OZZY. He’s lab/pit mix. One night I went to feed my pup and he didn’t move didn’t get up his eyes were just sad. I gave him cheese didn’t touch it. I even tried a HOTDOG and he didn’t move. I called everywhere that night because he didn’t want to eat. I can barely get him to move. No one would take him no hospital no doctor. I started to panick. I was in tears so upset I thought he was going to die that night he couldn’t get up at all. Dr. Rykoff called me back and took him! My husband had to carry him into the truck because he was so weak. rushed to Hoffman estates. She Ran some tests gave us medicine for the night. The next day we found out he had low blood plateletes. She didn’t sugar coat anything told us the good and the bad which I totally appreciate. Brought him back in gave us a week worth of meds for him and thank god he was good after 1 day. Happy eating and ready for his walks. I don’t understand the bad reviews. I have a new tiny dog I’m taking to her and because she’s so tiny she’s spreading out doing her vaccines because she’s so tiny. Now to me that’s a vet who cares! she’s a kind and caring to my babies I won’t go no where else.

My dog needs to cut her hair because there is a lot of chocolate syrup and gum on her hair. It can't be removed by water so I need a vet. This vet was also recommended by my friend. So I went there with my dog, Ali. I park my car since there are a lot of parking areas. When I entered there was someone who assisted us and I told them what I needed for my dog. They start assisting my dog and I wait here in the waiting area. It took so long to cut my dog's hair since Ali was not comfortable with someone. I'm glad that she has no scars. It was too expensive compared to other stores.

Seeing so many negative reviews on here is saddening; I’ve never known or heard of any other veterinarian that takes their Hippocratic oath to heart and places that above financial gain. She IS difficult to get ahold of, because she works with multiple rescues and shelters and she is caring for several animals at her clinic due to either a lack of available foster family, or because they require special care/are recuperating. If you can’t get through via calling the office, she has given her own personal phone number in the clinic’s voicemail and she is immediate to personally respond. What vet does that? What doctor does that? None, because they don’t care to be bothered in their free time. But I don’t think she values anything above caring for animals, and I sincerely hope that this review will help shed light on some of the complaints from others. It isn’t indifference or apathy that is to blame if you don’t get your results immediately or can’t get through to talk to anyone- it’s the sheer volume of animals she is treating for practically nothing and she doesn’t turn away walk ins, so you can always just show up at the Elgin location (and Hoffman as well, I presume) and she will tend to your pet in between patients. I would rather have a veterinarian that is gentle and loving with my PETS than coddling towards ME. After all, they are the patients, and I prefer to have a doctor that doesn’t waste time or money on handholding. She’s not rude or disrespectful or anything like some of these reviews are claiming. I first went to her as a foster parents to 2 rescued kittens and they received quick, kind, and excellent care. They were tiny and they were rescued from a bad environment and she was gentle and caring. I highly recommend this doctor. I wish she treated humans!

Dr. Rykoff is the only veterinarian I have ever fully trusted with my dogs. She is amazing and funny and always looks for a natural solution before pumping chemicals into them! I highly recommend!!!

DO NOT SEND YOUR PET HERE! I visited her practice and could hear in the lobby that the vet was using derogatory language towards someone while on the phone. While waiting for a new puppy appointment, she gave my dog the vaccine in the LOBBY without doing a wellness check or anything. Worst establishment I have ever been in. If this is how she behaves in the lobby, I am worried about how behaves behind closed doors.
