I'm generally a fan of most Sam's clubs however this location has got to be one of the worst parking lots I've dealt with in a long time. The store itself is clean, stocked well, and the service is good. Use the app while you're adding items to the cart to scan as you go it's much quicker.The exit scan is a huge bottleneck, it's much better at Costco, a quick receipt look vs a scan of multiple items and waiting in a slow line. Cafeteria is pretty average, cheap decent food for a quick lunch.

I am so done with cashiers that do not greet u or bother saying thank you. I don't need u to be my bff but a little civility goes a long way. Today the girl was sullen and when I asked why her screen was not showing the prices as she scanned the items, I got no response at all. Makes me want to continue to shop online

AVOID SODA dispensers... I like this club but I didn't find an email to write to them so I put it here. Soda machines make soda taste like mold. I am visiting second time here and first time i thought it is an ice. I am extremely sensitive to this stuff and soda without ice taste the same. They need cleaning or new machines.! It tastes horrible.

The gas service at Sam's Club joliet Larkin AveAvoid this stores gas serviceI bought 2 $50 gift cards at Sam's club on 2/2/23. @11:41Two days later I went to Sam's to fill and tried to use my member card and gas card to purchase gas NO luckI repeatedly was directed to remove and reinsert my member card no luckI asked the attendant for helpShe tried several times inserting the member card and the gift cardFinally it workedI asked for a receipt No luckThis process was repeated by me for 5 more daysNo luck. Finally went inside the store talked to customer service/they repeatedly tried to convince me my member card was working/I insisted it didn't work/ I was given a new member card/ tried again today/NO LUCKLOOK SOMERWHERE ELSE FOR YOUR GAS GOT NO HELP FROM CUSTOMER SERVICE no stars here

i go to sams every week and spend good amount of money every week. It was crowded there today so the lady manager told me to step in another line so k did. next thing you know the costumer in front of me was buying a lot of chicken and her payment wasn't going thru. I asked the cashier if he can move me in another line cause I was waiting in a line for 29 min already he said no you have to go to another line, but why I told him if the lines are really long and that wasn't my problem the costumer in front of me her payment wasn't going thru. so I asked to speak to the manager but she didn't try to reso the issue and instead she gave me attitude and was still arguing with me. what a fail, I felt I was just going to leave and not buy anything cause I was so disappointed of the costumer service I got from the staff

Okay this place needs to get their demographics right. Went there today and they had no pumpkin or apple pies but had a ton of pecan and sweet potato pies. It happens every year with this place. Obviously, the pumpkin and apple are your best sellers. Make enough and keep them in stock during the holidays.

I went to this sams club trying to buy an inflatable dinosaur costume for Halloween. I was denied service by stef (who is extremely rude and large) for being underage. I went to get my friend who is 18 and brought him to come buy the costumes. When we came back, we were told that we couldn't use our dad's Sam's card because he was not present. She then continued to threaten to revoke our membership. I was very kind and calm the whole time and she was extremely hostile. Do not go to the hodgkins sams club and if u do avoid stef (humungous black female) at all costs. She f****** sucks.

Was in your store today, terrible customer service, first of all I let a older lady go ahead of me ,trying to do the right thing since I had a cart full and she had fewer things in her cart . As I waited patiently because there was only 1 cashier open , suddenly some 4 foot 400 pound guy told be to move down to the other lane because I clearly cut the line !!!!!!! As I tried calmly to explain to him that I had not and in fact had allowed this lady in front of me to go ahead of me he talked to me as if He was my parent scolding his child , I was so embarrassed by how he treated me. Everyone around knew exactly he was wrong and shouldn't have spoke to me that way. But I did what any adult would do and just walked away and not argued with this man . speak to people this way , how disrespectful and unprofessional. It only gets worse as I proceeded to check out I was spoken to very rude by cashier Michelle older lady whom should not be working with people if she's going to have an attitude because I forgot to mention tax exempt, which came up clearly on the screen. I have worked for 30 yrs in costumes service and I have never treated anyone they way this two individuals treated me today . Her tone and her demeanor towards customers is unacceptable. No wonder people hate going to this store . Shame on you for treating your customers this way. You guys don't deserve not even 1 start . Don't like your job do us all a favor don't show up !!!!

Wide variety of items typically at good prices. I like the quantities available for the non perishables. One visit will stock me up for about 3 months. About 20% of the time you interact with staff they are friendly but the other 80% they range from indifferent to really rude.

Renee is awesome. Originally had tires that were out of stock with the manufacturer. She reached out to the rep at the manufacturer to see if they can shipped from another plant or location.Needless to say she made it happen :)And she stayed in communication with me the entire time

I always see an employee outside working his tail off. He collects carts, works gas station, even saw him washing windows lol. He helped me unload a bunch of bottled water one day. Guy has a bunch of tattoos, brown hair and goatee, around 35 I would guess I offered him $5 for his help but he refused to take it. I did call the manager to let him know but was on hold for I really 10 min. Very good employee, I usually go to Sam's in the morning. He's always there doing something.

My problem with Sam's is not about employees or service, rather with corporate, where bean counters make decisions, about what we will eat and when. Multiple times these bean counters make decisions, which affect many shoppers, as items are discontinued or substituted for brands other than the ones; some of us have been accustomed to buy for years. If corporate would taste once in a while before shopping, that would change many of the mistakes than someone sitting in a desk back in Bentonville, AR. Are continuously making. Of course we choose what we buy, but many times we have to try new items, and evaluate by ourselves. In my recent visit, which happens weekly, I finally bought an item, that both my wife and I were trying to cook, "PREMIUM SEAFOOD MIX (3 LB. ) it advertised mussels, "surimi", Squid, shrimp and octopus. Let me tell you that such was the WORST SEAFOOD, we ever had in our lives. And we both are old middle to late seventies. LOVERS OF SEAFOOD. In many states and countries. The so called "surimi" did not have but a disgusting flavor and texture, the rest of the ingredients were no different. IN FACT IT WAS SO BAD, that we threw, the rest of the bag and its contents, to the garbage can. Now remember my starting comment. MOST EMPLOYEES AND SERVICE HAVE always been satisfactory and in fact, some employees are extremely helpful and courteous, wish all sams stores had these type of employees. I STILL WISH MANY ITEMS WOULD RETURN, but the managers have their hands tie. As corporate decided what you eat and buy.

I have to highlight a Sam's Club Hodgkins employee. Her name is Alex, at the Member Services desk. For over a year, I could not access and use my Scan-n-Go app (I prefer to pay with the app, than have to wait in line). In all that time, I'd stop for help at the desk. They'd give me the 800 number, telling me they'd have to help me over phone. And over the phone, they couldn't fix it, and they'd send me back to the store telling they'd have to help me in- store. No one in the store, and no one over the 800 number, had been able to resolve what the problem was. I'd get bounced back and forth, back and forth, between them. No one could get my app working, so I'd given up. Every couple of months, I might take another stab at it, which is exactly what I did today. Like everyone before her, Alex firmly assured me that she would do everything she could. The difference this time ... she's the only one who was actually able to get my app working again. I don't know what was different about her from the others, except that she knew what she was doing to get it done, where the others maybe just didn't care enough or have enough experience to see it through to success. Alex may be the type of person who'll succeed at whatever she takes on, so I hope I get to see her again to let her know how much I've been enjoying the use of my app. This one (Alex) is a keeper.

I worse customer service anyone can imagine. Victor in Automotive very rude and non caring. Susanna so called manager with no authority. I had a tire sensor put on 2 months ago. It went bad. My car has no spare it gas a fill pump. I explained this. That its unsafe to drive my car with no sensor working that they installed. They give me a date 9days from today to bring it in. A 30 minute fix 9 days. The product they installed went bad. What's wrong with this picture. I called Costco explained my problem. The manager said bring it in the morning they will replace it with me even being a member. Old man walton has to be turning over in his grave. Goodbye Sam's and walmart. Hello Costco.
