A great place to gather and grow! They have fitness classes, adult events and programs and senior services. There are numerous children’s camps, programs, arts and theater. There are several beautiful rooms available for rental for meetings, parties and weddings. The staff and programs are fantastic!

We came here to investigate HCH as a possible venue option for a wedding. The current event planner, name already mentioned by another reviewer, is short-spoken, non-negotiable in attitude and irritable to questions to the point where both my fiance and I began to hold back in asking any. It did not feel as if she would be capable of building a trustful, low stress relationship or that our best interests were at heart. The facilities of Hinsdale Community House are of course nice and it is a shame to give it only three stars, but we will take our search for a venue elsewhere solely because of our experience.

Amazing find for great prices. We were going to be having a large party filled with both adults, kids and babies and wanted to have a space that had the following: 1. Indoor only, 2. A gymnasium or play area for the kids to release some energy, 3. Able to rent some kind of bouncehouse/ inflatable, 4. Wasn't in the city, 5. Wasn't CRaZy expensive. I found this hidden gem (surprisingly on YELP) and was excited to see that they had everything we were looking for. The planning went smooth - but it would have been nice to have an actual event coordinator help with some of the day-off mishaps that occurred. The woman I was working with prior to the event was a temporary fill-in as they were looking to hire, or were transitioning someone, and the woman who was on-site the day of the party had no idea what was going on and was almost bothered when I asked or inquired about things that were missing. The day of we found out that they actually moved us from two conjoining rooms to the large hall - which was great and much appreciated. However, it got extremely hot in the space and no one was available to assist with air conditioning. Also, I asked/requested the IPod hook-up prior to the event but when we got there it was a very outdated AUX jack (this was probably a mistake on my part, as I may have misunderstood, but it was upsetting nevertheless). The rooms were a bit outdated/lack luster, and the venue really isn't anything to write home about in terms of look, but you can bring in your own decorations (which we did) to make it what you wish! All in all, it was a great find for what we needed. Next time we might just ask for the air to be turned on before the guests arrive!

100% recommend The Community House. Don and Paula are wonderful at what they do. They pushed Samantha to be a fantastic Donna in the Mykonos Cast of Mamma Mia and it was absolutely amazing. I applaud them both for their strength and compassion they bring to these shows and the talent and comradery they instill in all their actors. Bravo to all of you. We are proud to be a part of this new family. Thank you, thank you!!

We attended a wedding party here for our neighbors and this venue was awesome. The band was loud for inside venue but services were just perfect. Our next event might be here too as parking good and very nice place.
