Bought a pair of wool felt and suede “spats” made by Toms here that I still wear after 6 years (I take good care of them) and still people stop me in the street to compliment them! I’ve never had more compliments on my shoes, but with this pair. Beautiful quality!

Cute boutique with high end merchandise but yikes is it expensive. More importantly 10 day return policy with store credit only. Since they have relatively limited merchandise and are often out of varying sizes you are forced to just pick something if you need to return an item. I received gifts from SO and my options for exchange were minimal. I normally wouldn't have purchased the items I selected for the exchange. There is a big push to shop local small businesses but the return policy is a big turn off.

Do not enter the store if you are not of Caucasian decent!!!My eyes caught some sneakers that are displayed in the front window so I went with my daughter and husband. There was another customer in there who just got out of the dressing area receiving positive and cheerful comments. Both sales associates were very pleasant to her. Since I carried my daughter who was about to fall asleep I asked my husband if he could inquire if they had the sneaker in a size EU 36. Oh boy that demeanor of the heavier set sales associate changed! Cold and rude she snapped saying that this is a size 6, which I confirmed to my husband. He added, kindly what the return policy is since he already knew that I wouldn't be able to try them on in the store, given I carried my half asleep daughter. In a condescending tone we were told that we can only return via store credit. Check out was cold and unpleasant.Amusing that the heavier set sales associate seemed so pleasant to the Caucasian appearing customer but not to us. I always felt that the Hinsdale community is rather diverse in respect to suburban communities but it was evident that some of the quiet parts are still very loud and obvious.Will not set another foot in this store. All of this commotion and absurd behavior over some cheap Sneakers.

I normally don’t do any reviews but I felt compelled to write this one. I moved to Hinsdale a few months ago and walked downtown and decided to stop and go into this shop. I was ignored and never greeted hello or goodbye. I was never asked if they could help me etc. I think you can get the pictureVery unwelcoming for a local shopI walked out feeling that I would never walk in this shop nor give them my business or anyone else that I know. Service and respect are so important these days when we own a business. I own a few businesses and if I treated my customers like this then I wouldn’t have any customers. I wish them good luck and wish them the best but what a bad impression for their business.Customer service is the number one priority

This shop is wonderful. A lovely selection of unique clothing and accessories or women and men from difficult to find labels. The space is cool! Owner and assistant are friendly, knowledgeable and fantastic. Definitely put this one on your list for Small Business Saturday!

Stockholm Objects was just too cool of a name for a boutique, so I had to check it out, especially since I was killing some time before the Yelp event at CiNe down the street. Everything I touched was tactile heaven - thick, cozy sweaters and silky blouses - but mostly in the $100-200 range. The clothing is beautiful, but not affordable (for me). The shoes, candles and accessories all make great gifts or super indulgences. I had my eye on a multi-colored wool infinity scarf ($38) and a pair of ivory owl mittens ($40), but I couldn't justify the purchases since I doubted I'd get much wear out of the scarf and would probably not take good care of the mittens - or god forbid, lose one. The two ladies working in the boutique were friendly and not at all overbearing. They said hello and let me know that they were available to help. If I came into a fortune, I'd definitely come back here.

Adorable minimalist shop. I would definitely recommend looking here for gifts for your fashion forward friends, or for yourself. The merchandise includes all manner of accessories, many hand made, and a lot of beautiful, light/airy, elegant women's clothing. There are also some cute home decor items like art pieces and throws. On this day, I wasn't able to find a gift for my friend, but she is probably less fashionable than even me, which is saying something. However, the sales associate was very sweet, courteous and friendly, and did try, without being at all pushy. I will definitely return to shop when I have more time.

I love this store and have shopped for teachers, family, friends and myself here. They have amazing clothes and housewares plus jewelry and stylish bags. I have never bought something at SO that others haven't raved about.

I really like this place. They have very unique, quality items. They carry golf shorts that are very pricey, but last forever and are very easy to take care of. I have bought several pairs for all the boys in our household. Plus they have some other fun stuff. Try this place for high end quality.
