The overcharged me $40,000.00 for a $53.00 cleaning bill. The owner was not helpful , it took hours of phone calls to straighten out. She was very cavalier. She said the employee made a mistake. But this mistake cost me fees, time and aggravation, There are other places to go to. ..,. She made no offer for amends, very arrogant.

Do not under any circumstances go here. They destroyed my clothing. They do not apologize, then they actually try to charge you for the botched work. Horrible all around.

I had a very similar experience with her as well in their Clarendon Hills location, and around this time. My suit pants to a Jos A Bank suit had split at the seams. The Jos A Bank store was across the street from my office in Burr Ridge, and they asked me get the pants cleaned and they would fix it free of charge. When I took the pants in I spoke with the father, showed the split, and specified NOT to repair as I was having them cleaned so the store that sold them to me would repair for free. Well, they repaired the seam and charged me $7.50. Well I explained what had happened to the daughter, who you must be referring to, and she essentially said too bad, we repaired them anyway and you need to pay. We went back and forth arguing about it, all I wanted was that $7.50 in credit, and she just wasn't having it. She was rude, unapologetic, and condescending. I was well into then thousands of dollars spent there, but that was it for me. I'm looking to get some jeans tailored and I think the mother is r grandmother is excellent with that work, but couldn't believe seeing this on Yelp! What a reminder.

A+++++. After having multiple clothing items (and pricey favorites) ruined at different place (I will not name names but someone mentioned it in a comment below) I discovered Silk Road. They are by far the best in the area. Customer service has always been great. I've used them for their weekly pick-up/laundry services as well as standard drop off dry cleaning for the past six years. Also utilized their tailor on many occasions with superb results. I don't have a single complaint and I am very particular about my clothes as well as giving business to friendly and fair folks.

I was disappointed to quit Silk road cleaners as my drycleaner. I previously did think they put a lot of care into the clothing. My issue is with their customer service - similar to the first poster on yelp. The younger woman is just rude. She felt the need to clarify that I was given a "really good price" by her father and that I should have paid the actual price ($5 more). And you kidding? I've given $500 of business since coming here and you're rudely taking me to task for $5? Oh and by the way - you never communicated the price for pressing in the first place - so yes - I was surprised by the high price charged for ironing. Nope - poor customer service. I'm in customer service along with entire family and we are NEVER rude to customers EVER. AND FOR $5?!? Hope it was worth losing a customer over.... I'm going to the dry cleaner in grant square.

Used to go to these cleaners since they were nearby. The shirts would usually come back well and to my liking. However, the service is horrendous. And then recently, I asked for three shirts to be re-done since the collars were not clean ... it seemed as if all they did was press the shirts without laundering. For the redo, I asked for them to be returned on the same day. They said fine. And then, when I picked them up, they told me they needed to charge me for them (after paying for them the first time around). I was shocked. They were charging me to re-do something that was not done properly in the first place (did I mention ... even when I paid for them the first time around)! The excuse given was that I "always" ask for the shirts to be returned on the same day and therefore they cannot clean them propertly. That was factually incorrect. There are occasions in which I ask for them to be done on the same day but not often. And even then, shouldn't they be able to clean the shirts successfully with same day service ... if not, wouldn't they let me know beforehand? The situation has happened on three separate occasions and on each time the owner (Paula) handled it poorly. The customer service skills of Silk Road are lacking. I am now going to switch to another cleaners (BTW, we have witnessed other customer arging with the owner on other issues).
