The sales Associates were not particularly helpful. I have shopped at the Calico in Winnetka and the sales help were so much more helpful. I would recommend to not shop at the Oakbrook store and instead go to the Winnetka store.

Bought a great fabric for my cushions for cuddy cabin on my boat, Linda was so helpful. Gave me a sample and was able to order from home . Great prices awsome place and awsome people.

I cannot recommend this store. They are happy to make the sale, but then it is wait, wait, excuse, excuse, and months later, you still don't have the finished product. They have sales all of the time, and the salespeople are very eager to find new customers, but they don't take care of their existing ones. Do yourself a favor, and shop elsewhere.

Having worked with Calico before, with beautiful results, I went back to have a window seat reupholstered after it lasted for eight years. Marilyn was a disaster to work with. The first time in, she couldn't find the "gray" fabric section of the store. She seemed absent-minded and not welcoming in the least. She wound up emailing me a quote...for $386. I called to confirm since the quote showed a 42" length instead of the 99" that I had written down and handed to her. The person on the phone assured me the quote was correct as the "notes in the work order specified this was a 99" piece". So I hauled the bench seat in to place the order. Marilyn said there was "NO WAY!" she could sell me the piece as it clearly was incorrect since it said 42". I explained that the person on the phone told me the work order indicated the 99". She dug in saying she could not sell it to me. I said, okay, well it looks like you'll need to re-quote it. While I did change fabrics (from $49.99/yard to $64.99/yard...a 30% increase), the price went to $919...2-1/2 times the original quote! No apologies. Instead, she was nearly argumentative about it. Customer service sucks.

Needing our antique dining room chairs recovered within a short time frame, I came in desperate for help. I met the amazing Elizabeth and showed her pictures of our house and told her about our lifestyle. Within an hour she made two fantastic suggestions. I took samples home, made the final decision, called her and she ordered the fabric and had it sent to me. The chairs were then sent to our upholsterer, recovered in amazing fabric and came back completely updated and look gorgoeus. thanks to Elizabeth's amazing eye and ability to connect with her clients my husband's great grandmother's dining room chairs now look current AND like us! I'm so excited to work with Elizabeth again on my next project!

Just had my sofa reupholstered- what a gorgeous job the upholsterer did! I was so pleased with my choice of fabric- a sage green velvet and the staff did their best to accommodate my desires- I didn't want cording on the cushions. It did take about 4 weeks but this was a custom job, my sales associate told me it would take that long. I am very pleased and would recommend them without reservation.

I've been here so much that one would think that I'd live here. When their site states that they will help design a room, they will! After taking pics of my living room, my rug etc I really needed fabric to reuhopolster a sofa and chairs. all designers that I worked with had seperate ideas each time that I went however one really nailed it! All of these ladies are extremely helpful. It's best to go when there is a sale or else I couldn't afford it. So happy this store is near me so that I'm not having to just order online.
