I was so excited about this location. I’ve been to this location two different times and they’re always have low stock & never no one on the floor to help customers and the customer service is horrible

This place is really great! Highly recommended! Especially to those people who really love stuff for crafts. This place is the best! They have so many interesting things here, their selection is very large, and the whole place is really enjoyable. This spot is very clean, cozy, neat, organized, and bright. Everything here is great! Fantastic customer service! Their employees here are really nice, decent, and knowledgeable. They all know how to treat their customers so right. Also, they will help you to find the things you need. They are so accommodating. You can also check out so easily because they have many cashiers. Awesome service. This Michaels is very accessible, their location is very near and easy to find. You can go to their spot in just a few minutes from your area. Very convenient. The only reason why I gave them four stars is because their restrooms need some repair. But their place is still my preferred place to buy things for crafts and others. They are way better and cheaper than other stores around the place. Plus, this Michaels is also a great place to buy some decorations for Christmas and other special holidays. You can also order online and visit their website. They will bring your order to you quickly. Really wonderful spot! All of their items have really good quality. A really must-visit place for arts and crafts. I will definitely go back here again when I am nearby and I need some crafts again. Thank you for your awesome service guys! Also, thank you for giving us such an amazing experience. Will see you again soon! Keep it up! Well done!

I literally had no plans to buy anything of any kind inside the store, but I realized that it's been a long time since I visited this particular store, so I just found myself inside. I was in the area visiting my family to celebrate Easter with them. I had no particular item in mind to buy, but there was a lot of stuff inside that I expected that I would definitely not leave the store literally empty-handed. I have nieces and nephews, so I decided to buy them toys and art supplies that they would definitely enjoy. There are a lot of choices to choose from, and most of them are really useful, so it was not hard to choose a particular item. The prices were not that expensive either, so it was a really good purchase. I also checked their selection for Easter and was happy to see a lot of items on sale in that particular section. In the end, I was able to buy a lot of stuff, and I am very happy with it. So are the kids with their toys and art materials.

Yikes. The prices at Michaels are bonkers now!! I stopped in just now hoping to pick up Halloween decorations or even just simple crafts to make decorations for my front porch, and the prices are out of this world! $200 for a Halloween wreath? Who pays $200 for that?! There was a 50% sale going on for some of the Halloween decor but even at half-price, everything is still wildly overpriced. When did this happen? I remember buying stuff at Michaels last year for Halloween and it was reasonably priced. Staff was nice though. Mariah at check out was friendly. Place was clean and well-stocked. But I only ended up buying $10 worth of glitter and glue.

I rate based upon experience and overall service. All the stars Bc of my amazing experience at check out. Minus one star partially for the guy on the floor who didn't ask me if I needed help, and particularly for the Terribly chaotic clearance section..... who knows how much more I would of purchased, if only I could get through the clutter and mess...Time is of the essence. So Blanca. At the register. Did a great job helping me check out and I hope to have her or equivalent quality service upon my return. This location is the closest to me.

Tim (custom framing manager) is great! He helped us out on a few occasions and we've been pleased with all of our custom frames. The turnaround time can be longer whenever there are 70% off coupons for custom framings, but our frames have been completed before the deadline.

Slow service and rude people. One cashier was very nice but the rest seemed like they wanted to be somewhere else. I recommend you go somewhere else.

I am very disappointed in this store in Hillside. Its my second bad experience with the same employee of Michaels at this location with same issue. This past Saturday I was trying to redeem my extra 20% off coupon THAT APPLIED TO SALE AND REGULAR price items, the girl at the register already had an attitude problem tapping her fingers, with unpleasant face expression while I was inserting my card, and phone number to the machine as if that was enough.. Note: I was buying two 5' Boy Scarecrows on sale, and one ash grapevine wreath that was regular price showed her my extra 20% coupon (only coupon I redeemed no additional)and she said it doesn't apply to my purchase until after 3 o'clock. Nowhere in the coupon did it state that it was after 3'oclock. This store employee has issues redeeming my coupon at the last two visits I've had there. I'm a long time Michaels customer and am aware of each coupon rules they have. Her service was below expectations during our visit, never a smile, never a courtesy of service. This store I've noticed is usually empty and it doesn't surprise me there is no friendly faces, no greeting, no acknowledgement to the customer. They take it as we want to rob them off with 20% coupons when we are not robbing we are purchasing. This associate in particular has made my last two visits to this Michaels very unpleasant. The store in Downers Grove and North Riverside IL are very satisfying. I hope this store associate is addressed, she should not be working retail if she is not willing to assist customers and treat them as what they are customers not thief's being defensive with coupons. I will call the Michael corporate number to express this and send a copy of my receipt with this employee's ID number. I wanted to use my 20% for my sale. Not the 40% one item reg coupon.

Great selection at this store, and much larger than the store in Willowbrook. I was offered help a few times, but had fun perusing on my own. I was satisfied with the items I found (wedding related items including silk mini flower bouquets that look very real!). The cashiers I've encountered have been super sweet and helpful too! Make sure you sign up for emails so you get coupons! That helps a lot. I will be back, no doubt!

This store is absolutely horrible. Phones are down for a week and no way to inform a customer if they call. This district manager should be fired on the spot. I have a painting in the store worth over $300 and they haven't done what I paid for....I believe if you walk into this store, you are asking for nothing but problems. I recommend shopping at Hobby Lobby. Can you believe they can't fix a phone for over a week in 2016....I truly believe they can't pay their bill.

Visited this store today to purchase a few items and noticed their summer items were on sale for 70% off. I chose some products and proceeded to checkout. At check out I was surprised when one item rang up as more then I was expecting. When I questioned it, the store manager came over not saying anything, took the item and scanned it. He abruptly and rudely commented "those aren't 70% off". I explained to him that the sign next to it said they were. He still continued to tell me they weren't. Finally after figuring out how to do at least one part of his job right (do a price check) he said oh, they are 70% off. Never at any point did he apologize or show one hint of good customer service. Very poor customer service here.

Absolutely the worst store ever. The current staff and management is rude, uncaring and unknowledgable. Their policies are ludicrous. I will never go to a Michaels again. Several hundred if not approx. $1000. spent per year on supplies for a mini business I have. Ask for supervisors? They will send you another sales clerk pretending to be a manager. The current cashier by door is just plain not with it, rude. Customer service? They've never heard of it. I guess they get paid the same if people buy or not. so their is no reason for them to care at all about anything customer related. They also do not carry real honest to goodness hobby/craft supplies. Lots and lots of paper.
