“Unfortunately we came to Probst to have our 16 year old dog put down due to her not being able to stand or walk any longer. They were very polite but what did bother me is that not ONE PERSON questioned why we were doing so. Nobody asked any questions. To me that isn’t normal. I would hope they wouldn’t do this for all that ask for their animals to be put down and hopefully that person isn’t doing it just to get rid of the animal. I know we made the right decision for our fur baby that I’ve had for her entire life but Probst, PLEASE ask questions! The only time the doctor spoke was after she was gone he said “I’m so sorry for your loss” and that was it. Nothing about the process beforehand either. My husband had to ask questions at the desk when we came in and the receptionist told him.”
“I arrived at the Hillsboro Advanced Vet Care center due to my prior primary vet in the area not being able to squeeze my Bella in on a Saturday morning. Bella presented Friday with heavy Panting and was in distress. The Staff signed us right in and we were seen within minutes on a Saturday morning. Our news was on favorable. Bella has hit her end of life. She is a 13 year old pit bull. However, Doctor was great and she prescribed a couple prescriptions to help with the inflammation that started the symptoms that brought this to our view. Now she is at home with mom and dad for a little time until she shows signs of pain or distress. At which time we will want to return for a quick ending. We are so pleased to have a little time to say goodbye to her without being in pain. I unfortunately have no plans to get another dog but if I do this vet will be my new primary. For those who want to know. The bills was a straight fee visit that I was more than happy to use a debit card. My wife and I can not think them enough. We have peace of mind and a plan....”
