I went there for first time with my brother but they didn’t know how to find information that they need from my insurer documents and they asked for cash payment so I went to cvs and they very quick accepted my insurance and gave me the medication for the second time today it happened to me and I have to go to cvs againVery unprofessional stuff and even the manager is not professionalI wish I could give them a zero scoreThe only reason I go there because it is very close to my home , but will never go there in futureAli

Pretty standard drug store experience. Decent selection, I usually don’t have trouble finding what I need here. Main complaint is that the service is slow and only one cashier will be open, even if lots of customers are in line and other staff are walking around.

Store number 5543, Pharmacist Kelly Ha, in Highwood Illinois refused to refill my prescription either she was too busy to assist a black woman or did not want to provide me service not based on Walgreens policy. I dropped off two scripts, 1 needed verification which could be done the next day, and 1 antibiotic which I informed I’d be waiting for. The Tech asked me to verify script 2 was for me, my 1st and last name, and she wrote my date of birth on it before handing it to the Pharmacist. 30 minutes later I get a call from the same Tech telling me the Pharmacist can’t refill script 2 because there is no quantity written. The instructions say 1 tablet, BID for 7 days. Clearly it’s 14 pills. After doing the math for the Tech she went to the Pharmacist and was told upon her return to my call that the Pharmacist said she will not fill Script 2 because the Doctor needs to have the quantity written out on the Script. I asked if they can send the script over to Highland Park Walgreens. The Tech went to ask and came back to the phone telling me “No” for me to pick it up and take it myself. I peel myself out of my house to drive in the winter storm with fresh slush on the ground to pick up the script. After a few words telling the Pharmacist I’m a Nurse, actually educated and her refusing me service warranted a statement from me to the stores District Manager, then she changed her mind and told me she will fill Script 2. As unsatisfied I was I told her I’d rather get service elsewhere. I was handed back not only script 2, but also script 1. So script 1 was supposed to be clarified the next day with my Doctor, but now I’m being refused service as a black woman and told to take the scripts elsewhere. Very disturbing and uncalled for. I took the scripts to another Walgreens without any mishaps and received Script 2 in less than 20 minutes. I am appalled to feel made less of and mocked of prior to hearing I’m educated and could calculate 2 tablets a day for 7 days to equal 14 pills. I hope someone can explain that discrimination is illegal and unjust. I should have the rights of other consumers in the same situation. To be embarrassed is inappropriate. I shouldn’t have to explain myself to the Kelly Ha, Pharmacist on how I just needed the script filled and have a situation made complicated that was easily fixed. I can tell you that she fixed her approach after I said I’d be complaining by then, and not before then, to offer to fill the same questionable script same day. I hope I’m the last person Kelly Ha mistreats and refuses services. Her behavior was very deliberate. If one script needed to be taken elsewhere to be filled same day, why give back both scripts? I’m hurt because I spend a good amount of money with Walgreens and deserve better treatment.

Manager on duty was rude to my mother. She was buying pepperoni dog treats and was told they couldn't sell them and my mother asked why and manager was called to answer. He was very rude responding and did not answer her question. Why the item wasn't pulled from the shelf if it couldn't be sold. After looking up online there was an issue with this item. Manager should of known this or should of at least of given a nice response besides how he handled it. Corporate is getting notified about his actions.

Employee high fived the costumer before me then started coughing when ringing up my items. Complete unacceptable during a time of a pandemic. They may know each other I don’t know them would like to feel safe when shopping. Had to wipe down my items soon as I got home.

This Walgreens is terrible! They have lost my prescription when I stood in line and handed it to them. I'm on hold and get disconnected. They run out of medicine and tell me everyday that it will there the next day....then it's not. Different people all the time. Hate this place. Switching to CVS today.

Truly one of the best Walgreens I've shopped at! I had a very time sensitive project I needed to have done by the photo department, and one of their employees, Jorge, helped me out tremendously. I couldn't have done it without him.

Not sure if the employee was under 21 but, I was told to wait for the African-American cashier, as she (the employee) opened a register and checked out two customers (white and hispanic) while I waited.5:18 pm 12/12/2020

I'm not the type to write reviews on places because I don't think it's usually that deep. But the old woman that works here (she might be manager idk) is incredibly racist and rude. When my sister approached her to ask if they had a face lotion this woman immediately replied with "WE DONT CARRY MEXICAN BRANDS"... ma'am we were looking for a L'Oréal lotion... anyways. On multiple instances, this woman constantly makes racist remarks towards people of color. Specifically Hispanics. She goes as far as following them around the store, I guess suspecting they're going to steal ? She's terrible overall. I don't ever look at her name tag but if I ever go back, I'm definitely remembering it. It's sad people still don't understand that doing this while working in customer service IN A VERY diverse neighborhood isn't okay at all. She has got to go.
