28 E Center Ave, Lake Bluff“This is my favorite restaurant on the North Shore! It’s a go-to for celebrations or just a night out. The food is fantastic (burger and fries are a favorite), and the staff is genuinely welcoming and kind. The wine list and cocktails are top notch, too!”
“The experience at Zhivago was truly exceptional! The atmosphere was lovely, and the staff were exceptionally friendly and welcoming. The food was not only delicious but also beautifully presented, adding to the overall experience. I highly recommend Zhivago to anyone looking for a fantastic event – it's definitely worth a visit!”

26225 Riverwoods Blvd, Lake Forest“A colleague booked this trip. Hotel right off the interstate, convenient but not quiet. Front desk staff was hit or miss in terms of service. Bartender spent most of her time playing gin rummy with the waitress. Full bar and restaurant, a good spot for meetings/conference. Food menu at HGIs is usually consistently decent.”
“One of my most favorite candy shops in America. Something about their dark chocolate peanut butter buckets makes me always go back and get more. So many truffle flavors to choose from as well.”
“This town has transformed into a popular Christmas town every since Home Alone chose this area for the film. They do a great job of hosting! The town is truly amazing and fun to visit!”
“My wife and I recently had our wedding at Loft 21 a few weeks ago, and let me tell you, the pictures, walk throughs and planning did not do justice to how amazing the venue was.My wife and I are planners and we booked with Loft 21 a year in advance, so you can imagine we had a lot of ideas for our wedding. The planning process with Loft was good, some minor miscommunication, but feel like that will happen anywhere when you're emailing back and forth for that long. We were quickly able to jump on the phone and hash out all the plans and timeline to make everything flow perfectly.Brittni (Operation Lead) did an amazing job for our ceremony and reception and made the day of so easy for us that we did not have to do anything before the wedding, other than setting up our own props. The pre-ceremony, ceremony, cocktail hour and reception went so smoothly, it's really hard to believe. I would highly, highly, HIGHLY recommend Loft 21 to any couple looking to get married in the area.I'd also highly recommend utilizing Loft 21s preferred vendors, specifically H.Y.P.E Media as the owner of Loft also owns them so it made the Music and Production so much easier on us.They allow you to customize pretty much your own event, from lighting to set up to bar package, to pretty much anything you can think of.Thank you again Loft 21, Brittni, Jazmine and everyone else at Loft 21 for making our day so special and easy on us!”
“As a wedding photographer, Independence Grove holds a special place in my heart. Its natural beauty, highlighted by the tranquil lake, provides a stunning backdrop for capturing unforgettable moments. Working here is a breeze thanks to the professional and accommodating staff who go above and beyond to ensure a seamless experience. Whether it's the picturesque outdoor ceremony spaces or the elegant reception hall, Independence Grove offers endless opportunities for creating timeless photographs. I wholeheartedly recommend it to couples seeking a breathtaking and unforgettable wedding venue.”
“A must see! Give yourself plenty of time to see this museum. Great displays telling the Holocaust stories. They do have guides to walk you through the displays. We haven't used them, but I'd recommend using them your first time through. I've been here 2 times and haven't taken enough time to see all in detail. Make sure you plan to see the 3D Holocaust survivor exhibit. It's a hologram of a survivor sitting on a chair telling their story. You can ask questions, and they answer. Very cool. They have a VR experience. I'd recommend you go to that. However, the technology needs upgrading. It's worth going to. Overall, highly recommend you visit and great for young adults to understand what really happened. Learn from history, so this never happens again.”
“My second home. Great classes, events and community options. There are a lot of different type of classes and workshops. You can even attend free events. Try out yoga, knitting or the drum circle.”

717 Forest Ave 2nd floor, Lake Forest“I love working at Lifeworking Coworking! The staff is always friendly and helpful, the facilities are bright and well kept, and the location is so convenient. I can definitely recommend.”
“The food was decent, i really enjoyed their salad. Our waiter was attentive and available. I don't like that we have to keep asking for bread here. I feel its a bit over priced for what is offered. In my opinion its just a more expensive Olive Garden.”
“They were super accommodating for our large party that came in at 6pm on a Saturday with no reservation. Order your drinks and food first if you want to get them before you're done playing, though”
“was in last night on a busy night the employees were great an very accommodating even during what appeared to be a league night. fast and friendly. we ordered light appetizers which came out hot and fresh. much recommended”

“Awesome place to wind down and have a great time. The prices are reasonable compared to other places, and the food is delicious. The bar is super nice and has a large variety of different drinks.Overall, the place is great and really clean. Would recommend!!”
“I went there for a yelp event. it was calledneon night and it was a fundraiser. I have never been here prior to it nor was I familiar with it. It seems like a wonderful organization. You can donate books or money, and it helps children that don't have the means to buy books and you donate money or books, and it helps them. The CM of the North Shore suburbs Keisha and her assistant were kind enough to organize this.”

1500 W Kennedy Rd, Lake Forest“My daughters wedding here on December 9, 2023 was perfection. The ambiance and sheer beauty of the mansion was the backdrop for her spectacular wedding. 800 Gillson Park Drive, Wilmette“A park and a beach is along the lake. Gillson Park is the best thing about Wilmette, and beats any of those overcrowded ones farther south. If you want to actually be able to walk on a beach and not feel crowded, then head up a ways. Be careful about where you park because you can find places for free. There's also plenty of green space for athletic fields. Gillson is a big park, and that makes it feel not as crowded. It has several different parts. There's the actual park with the grass and trees. It's often very quiet here. Where's all the people? At the beach. This beach is still less crowded than any of the Chicago beaches full of both locals and tourists. It has a nice little play area. The sand is pretty clear of debris for the most part. Also at this park is a big a** marina. There's lots of boats, and there's also a club you can join if you can pay up. However you spend time here, just be careful about parking or it may be costly. It has pay lots close to the beach but you can find free parking on the residential streets. They have certain places where you can't park though, so pay attention to signs and whatever.”
7AM - 5:30PM
3100 Trail Way, Highland Park“One of the standout features a drop off area and a good amount of parking, which made it incredibly convenient to access. The rink itself is not only well-maintained but also spotlessly clean, providing a pristine environment for ice skating enthusiasts. What truly sets this place apart is the picturesque drive to the rink; the scenic route leading to it adds a touch of beauty and serenity to the overall experience. Whether you're a seasoned skater or a novice looking for a fun outing, this ice rink with its parking convenience, cleanliness, and scenic drive is an absolute gem that I highly recommend.”

“Huge facility with a range of sports training options that leagues rent out to train in. Also available for birthday parties. Great location but needs a deep cleaning.”
“I ordered an open-faced, roast turkey dinner. The stuffing was AMAZING, the mashed potatoes and gravy like home-made, and the turkey was tender and delicious. The best hot turkey (and stuffing) I've had. The Pick-up wait on a Friday night was 45 minutes! There was a guy in a hat meeting pick-up customers almost yelling, 'the foods not up yet. ' We all looked at each other, but good was outstanding.”
“The staff, management and Chef are amazing. We are regulars at this establishment for a reason. The reason is their ability to understand their guest! My special needs son had a moment where I have to leave before I ate and with his to go food. The Chef, Manager, and servers took amazing care of my daughter and hubby and made sure to send my favorite items home with him so I had dinner.”
