If you want to experience street level bureaucracy in its purest form… visit this location. The cashier acts like you’re doing her a favor. I can count on rudeness and arrogance every Saturday morning!

Always missing mail. My street has a new mail man over the past year and he is just lazy. Companies are always calling me saying my mail has been returned. Some mail I get and some I don't. That post office isn't what it use to be.

Closes early and locks the doors. 453 pm on Dec 19. Not like it's holiday season and people are trying to get stuff mailed. I like the employee standing inside the door waiting for her ride just staring at people walking up.

I love this post office! I don't live in Highwood but I go to this location as you get a small-town feel, the clerks are friendly, funny, helpful and efficient.

Went to the post office yesterday and when I pulled up I noticed that the POW flag was upside down and also there was also no American Flag on the pole. When I went to fix the flag, I noticed there was a "cleat knot" securing the rope (this is important). When I untied the knot on the pole I noticed what had happened, he pulled the flag all the way around to remove the American flag, honest mistake. But he failed to check his work. When inside, I confronted him about it. He said that he removed the flag because it was tattered, which is understandable, but he said that "it must have been a bunch of kids playing a prank" that turned the flag upside down. I told him "I doubt kids know how to tie a cleat knot". He asked if I was calling him a liar... I said no, I told him that he did it by pulling the flag through and that you need to pay more attention to detail. He stormed out of the cubicle and went in the office to call the police on me. He said I was "yelling and throwing my hands up". None of which I was doing. He proceeded to lie to the dispatcher and tell me to "get the f*** out" as seen on the video. The PD was very professional and understanding. ** I was also in my military uniform at the time*** If you make a mistake, just own up to it... professionalism goes a long way.

Great staff great service. Small town friendly after coming from the City. All of these negative reviews are acting like they are an UPS store or Amazon. USPS is a government branch and not much has changed besides tracking on packages. So bring your own box (or use one of usps priority boxes), bring your pen to write to and from, and bring your own packaging tape. Again USPS not Amazon or an UPS store

After our local carrier mis-delivered a package, I called the post office to resolve it. Their customer service was excellent and I was very impressed by how the Postmaster, David Sims, handled it. He took my call, personally investigated the matter, and knocked on my door about 30 minutes after I called to update me and walk me through the next steps. I was very pleasantly surprised by the level of service and attention to my issue.

They lost my package And i have called about it and they say there’s nothing they can do. they can’t even refund me for the $15 I paid for shipping! They made me lose out on a lot of money it’s very upsetting. They are also super rude and don’t help you figure out a mailing situation if you’re having trouble.

I'll post a photo on my next visit. For the time being, I prefer this this post office over the Highland Park location. The staff was generally friendly and super helpful. I was trying to prepay priority mail postage for people all over the US. Having a team working remotely and covering shipping expenses can be challenging when shipping is not a regular process of your work. The USPS staff here made it easy. I believe Stephanie helped me a few weeks ago. She was great and super friendly. I appreciated the kindness and smiles. Her attitude towards work and people around her was genuine. I am new to the area and she made me feel comfortable visiting the local post office. Also, this location had plenty of envelopes and labels in stock and available. It's easy to get in and out of. Best part, it's less busy than the Highland Park location. Shh... don't tell everyone!
