Do not do business with Steve Schmitt GMC. Gm state that it and their Dealers are committed to quality products and customer satisfaction. What a lie. Chinese & Japanese made junk parts sold at a fantastic markup. My complaint air bag replacement: GM dealers will replace any worn, damaged connections at no charge!! NOT AT STEVE SCHMITT. They charge $165.00 per man hour to do a diagnosis. They blame the high cost of their UNION LABOR.Mechanics are paid about $20.00 per hour and made to furnish their own tools. Schmitt's chief of mechanic's is so dumb he cannot tell me what is wrong with my dash lighting up and showing " check air bag soon". They will try pouring a bucket full of shit over your head and you the customer is supposed to like it!! Then tell you they would like your continued business. I called Steve Schmitt Chevrolet dealership and asked for a quote for an oil change and tire rotation which they told me.. $94.95. So I said great, let's schedule it! Fast forward I schedule it and drop it off and without calling me or anything they do the service and call me afterwards asking for my debit card number saying the price was $185! I THINK NOT! This is not okay! I just had the same service done recently and the price was 94.95 and now it's suddenly $185, listen here buddy... inflation does not double the price of an oil change and heres how I look at it... I should have been given a call about a price change because guess what... you spent my money which I could potentially not have had because you told me it was $94.95. You abused the fact that I was a female dropping off a vehicle which is absolutely insane! Everyone should know not to trust STEVE SCHMITT when they give you a quote for a service because you are getting ripped off!! How do they get away with this?!? All the manger told me was "I'll take off $20" I WILL NEVER TAKE ANOTHER VEHICLE THERE AGAIN! Please share for the people in Highland IL!!

I was very pleased with the body work performed on my vehicle at Steve Schmitt. Their friendly, helpful staff assisted me with identifying damaged areas and planning the repairs in a way to limit the time I went without my van. The finished product looked great (way better than expected) and the detailed cleaning they did prior to returning the vehicle was fantastic! There was a hiccup with communicating the timing of the work completion on my vehicle, but I felt the staff handled the problem and made it right for me in the end. Thank you!

Great experience! The suburban had just hit the lot so there were no pictures and not a lot of information on their website but we called 1st thing and Amber texted us pictures and was able to give us more details over the phone. Scott our salesman had it ready in front when we got there went over the ins/outs, told us the best route to take to test it out on the interstate that just looped back around to the dealership. Brenden helped with financing and between the two of them it was very quick and painless which was quite a feet considering we had two toddlers in tow! Another employee kindly offered to keep an eye on them while we did paperwork but I did not catch her name. It was a little bit of a drive but we’ll worth it in the end, thanks everyone again.

Offered to sell them a cross over three years old with 13k mileage. They came under kbb by almost three thousand then told me there is a glut of used cars right now causing them to offer way less than kbb. Funny I saw two news articles in past week saying used car market is on fire and dealerships are super interested in buying newer used cars and there is low inventory

They had a vehicle listed on their website. Emailed to receive a price because they didn't list it. Never received an answer to the price just a bunch of questions. Called and got the same run around. I've unsubscribed from their emails multiple times and still received emails. Told them not to contact me. Still continued to get emails. Called them today to have my email removed. We will see if they finally stop emailing me.

I have a 2018 "Rocky Ridge" edition GMC Sierra with 20,000 miles on it, bought it with 38 miles on the truck from a dealer in Centralia, I had issues with the sound system and speedometer plus I needed a service as well.... they charged me $237 and some change to "diagnose" my speedometer issue while everything on my truck is under warranty and GM approved! THEY WILL NOT give me a refund on this matter!This is my First and last GM product I will ever buy and I will NOT step foot back on their's or any other owned by them for another vehicle new or used!

Very disappointed in my attempt to buy a new truck at this dealer, I was quoted a price online but once I arrived and started the buying process they pulled $3500 in incentives and low balled my trade in at $5000 below book value, I bought a truck later in the afternoon with more options and saved over $6000 compared to the best offer at this dealer, I prefer to buy local but they must think they don't have any competition.....

Going to a lot of dealerships that just wouldn't give me the time of day after seeing my trade in value and credit score I was demoralized and just gave up on trying to get a new vehicle. I was then told to go see the guys over at Steve Schmitt in Highland, Il. and they could help. Being very optimistic after seeing everyone, I went. I must say, from the first meeting and handshake to the last, they were very professional and very personable. No rushing or not listening to what my needs were. I will say that Vince Marty in finance worked hard for me to get into a new car and that Mike McBride was the best salesman I've met. They both treated my like a person and not just a number. If you are tired of the other dealerships or just want to go to the best group of people the first time, I highly recommend seeing these two gentlemen over at Steve Schmitt in Highland, Il. I know ill be there for all my future vehicle purchases.
