Had my dad's corvett painted here and it was the worst paint job I have seen from a shop. Runs and pit marks everywhere. We took it back and they said they fixed it but it still looks horrible. Had a conversation with the owner but just excused from him. I will be getting an estimate elsewhere and filling a small claims suit.

This place is great. I was comparing auto body shops before I got my work done and somehow called a repair shop rather than a body shop. I was so distraught over the high prices at the other four (Gerber was by far the worst/highest by far! Corporate body shops am I right?) that I thought to ask the guy if he would recommend anyone. Without a pause he came back with Ruben and John's. He said they were fair and trustworthy, and in my book that is all you need in an industry where you can't be sure if you're being ripped off and everything is expensive.Scheduling was easy. They were straightforward and helpful, answering all my questions and their quote was the lowest by far. To be fair, I got pricing on two separate areas on my car from two different, fairly minor, though expensive, accidents. Their quote was a little bit higher (by less than $75) than the lowest competitor out of the 5 on the second job, but after the great job they did on the first, i will be going back to Ruben and John for the second. I was in and out in one day and back on the road.

Super nice guys and really good work! Another shop quoted me a week just to get a part. Ruben and John got the part, painted it to match, and installed it in two. I'll be keeping them on speed dial for the next time I do something daft.

The worst experience ever, do not give them Your car they don't know what they are doing , I had somebody who hit my car and asked my to come to "Ruben & John Auto Body Repair" they were suppose to replace bumper and trunk, it was huge mistake to give them my car. they instal cracked bumper, they don't know even how to paint, there are paint damage on trunk, the truck is not leveled and barely closet, the bumper installed wrong and there is gap/ space , the bumper doesn't open from the remote any more and back up camera not working , everything that was possible to screwed top they screwed up each small pieces of labor and part. PROBABLY WORST MECHANIC SHOP IN ILLINOIS .... Read More
