The company was responsive and came quickly. But tow companies in the area I used previously would have towed my car for $125 - $40 less and although I notified Pro-Towing about this they still charged me $165. While I chose to go with the dealer's recommendation and did not ask about price up front, most companies would have honored a competitor's price.

HORRIBLE HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE!!!! STAY AWAY!!!! I am a registered nurse on a covid unit at a local hospital. My car got towed at my apartment building because I forgot to park it underground. The next morning, I could not find my car when I was supposed to go for a shift at the hospital. I called the towing company explaining the situation. The owner was extremely rude and said this is not his problem and my car is somewhere is Lake Bluff. A friend picked me up to the hospital. when I called back to get my car, he said he doesn't know the address but will let me know in a few minutes. My supervisor called the man and he said: I am doing a favor to your nurse. I am not supposed to give her car back, it is Sunday so she will wait. A doctor from the hospital took me to lake bluff, IL and we were waiting for his call. he called and give me the address, asking for $295 cash, same amount as the person I called in the morning. when I met the tow person name Johnny, he gave me a receipt for $305. I said, you told me $295. He said no, I misunderstood him and I also misunderstood the morning guy. I only had $300 cash on me. he said he will not release my car unless I get the additional $5. I was so ashamed to go to my doctor who was nice enough to drive me and ask for $5. I gave it to him, and told me how unfair it is to try to rip off a nurse during the pandemic. He said that he is doing a favor and not supposed to give me the car on a Sunday because the office is closed, and pretty much doesn't give a shit. there is no office or any address listed for the towing company. On top of that, it says that they are open 24/7. I am so shocked, how during such a pandemic, me, risking my life to save others, had to be treated in such disrespectful way. If you encounter this problem, I will give you the address of the lot- No one is there and he just want to make sure he is there when you pick up your car. SHAME, SHAME SHAME. Karma will be his friend one day, and I will have to pleasure to intubate him

If there is a way to give no stars I would. Absolutely horrible experience. Legally parked car got towed illegally, right before state imposed "Shelter and Stay" order. Driver who would not give us his name and was rude and cursing at us, would give us run about to try to get a car back, as we desperately needed the car for work during the state shot down. Towing probably trying to keep the car during the shot down to keep raking up the storage fee. Long story short, after few hours of nightmare of trying to get to impound lot and getting the car back, that was basically not towed, but stolen (!) the driver offered to meet us at the gas station (!!!) and give us car for cash. Came with our car-still on the flatbed (obviously car was never put even into any legal storage lot) and for $250, charging us also the storage fee (!!!) released the car to us (car also incurred body damage during the tow). Scam. Scam. Scam. Car got towed for no reason for tow! Car was parked legally, with property owner permission, not imposing any inconvenience or danger to traffic or safety. Tow made recovering car difficult by not picking up the phone, stalling for time! Charged storage fee (car was only in tow possession for only 6 hours and only due to the fact he was giving us run around and was still on his flatbed)! Released the car not at the place of business, but a gas station!!! Will pursue legal action. Horrible experience.

I needed my car towed from my garage to Northbrook Toyota. Northbrook gave me a number to call for the tow. I called and spoke to a man who never gave his name. He took my address and phone and I explained car was in the garage and I was there to let tow driver in. This was at 9;26am. He said it would be an hour to an hour and a half. At 11:26 I get a call from the driver saying he was 6 min away. I said fine I was by the car now in the garage. He just hung up on me. At 11:37 same guy calls back asking for the color of the car. I explained again that the car was in the garage, driver said he was there at garage. Odd because I was standing in alley with my garage door open and there was no tow truck. Turns out guy was somewhere else and asked for my address again then abruptly hangs up. Tow truck shows up 5 minutes later. I said he could pull my car out of garage to make it easier to put on flatbed. He refused and instructed me to pull it out. Ok. I pull my car into alley and guy lowers flatbed and tells me to pull it onto ramp. I say I'm not comfortable, I don't like heights. He keeps saying come on, its ok, pull to the left, etc. The ramp is at a steep angle going up and he keeps saying come on, come further up, more to the left. Mind you I'm not sure what the problem is with my car but it's been shuddering and not accelerating and it may not be safe going up a steep ramp. Guy gets a cable hooked, tells me to shut it off and come down. Really!!! I've got to climb out and somehow jump down and car is right on edge of the flatbed. Then guy tells me it's 185.00 for a 15 mile tow. I paid with a credit card and guy has the nerve to ask me for a tip!!!! WTF. I did the work. I refused. He abruptly pulls away. I got no receipt or explanation of the higher charge, nothing. When I went in to Northbrook Toyota I related my experience with Pro Tow company and showed them the video from my security cameras of this guy telling to to load my own car on the flatbed, and the higher price and no receipt. Northbrook was upset and after managers viewing video stated they were sorry and would no longer do business with Pro Towing. Don't bother with this company. They way they do business makes me believe they don't want to do business. Theres plenty of places out there that don't need to treat customers like shit.

My husband and I were out on our motorcycle in Lake Geneva when we had a flat. I called Pro Towing and they were out in about 45 minutes. The driver was polite and professional and the truck was clean. He was able to haul us and the bike back and we were able to pay with a credit card right on the spot. I highly recommend this towing company.

This was by far the best towing service I have ever had, My Porsche broke down on highway 53 during a rainstorm today with a total of 3 passengers. We were told by Porsche that the driver could only accommodate one passenger. You can imagine, it would be difficult to call a Taxi to pick you up on the expressway and then have to wait in the rain. When our driver arrived, he was exceptionally polite, concerned about our safety and went out of his way to make sure we made it home dry. Porsche was about to leave us stranded on the side of the road waiting for transportation but Pro Towing brought us safely to our home. He was courteous and understanding. I would highly recommend them to anyone. Thank you.

DO NOT USE! Called them for a tow, they required an immediate payment by credit card on the phone, and they never towed the car. Called them many times to get a credit back, and they never gave me the credit. They are crooks, and very rude!
